I don’t event think they even bother to watch the game anymore. These Pogba posts were probably drafts and they’re just hitting “post”. Bruno having a nightmare but it’s Pogba they’re banging on about. Rashford pure invisible man, not even a mention.

Bs. Bruno and Rashford has both been called out.

The issue is that when we do finally get the ball out of defense (this is very difficult) we push it too Pogba and Bruno and they have 4-6 Brighton players surrounding them. They can't pass it to anyone as they're surrounded so they're forced to take players on. Their forward line and midfield are playing very narrow and swamping Pogba/Bruno. It's clever tactics as it's suffocated us.

Change of formation required or we continue playing into Brightons hands and hope they get tired.
you have to ask then why we don't do that to them or why we didn't to Palace last week. the fact is we aren't good enough and as ever Ole has no back-up plan

if 'not being coached' whatever you think that means gets you 8 month long unbeaten runs more teams should try it
We have very good individual players, far superior to most teams in the Prem. This will get you by most of the time. Momentum is also crucial in football, Bruno coming in changed our teams attitude and the way we played and it worked for a few months. But once that runs out and teams figure you out that’s when you need some assistance from your coaching staff.
That isn’t happening...... pains me to say it but Ole does not have the slightest clue when it comes to coaching and he surrounds himself with people who can’t coach. Decent manager though but that isn’t enough.

Bruno with several wtf moments. Pogba slightly better than last time, but thats not saying much. Expect a lot more from those two.

Really hope I live to a day when bang average English players like Rashford, Shaw, Maguire and AWB will no longer start for a club that really wants to compete.
That's the most infuriating part - knowing that the board and even some fans seemingly believe that those are proper "United-standard" players.

Just ask yourself one question: Would anyone of Rashford, Shaw, Lindelof, AWB etc. compete for a starting spot for Real/Bayern/Barcelona/Liverpool/City?

    Not in a million years.

That's the level we want to see ourselves at, but our current players (and the coaching) simply aren't good enough to reach that level.

Really? I don't remember a single mistake from him in that first half, very good in position and tackling.

The second time they hit the post was cos both him and Maguire did their usual stare at the bloke shooting shtick and not bother to close down.

Does Bruno giving the pen away (and subsequently creating the equaliser) exonerate Pogba from the game passing him by as usual?

Man said “creating the equaliser” as if Bruno went on a slalom run or made a cutting through ball or something. Dude whacked a free kick into the box which Matic had to turn into something. feck out of here.

What Tim Sherwood said is spot on. We don't have a system or any shape. That's why we lose possession and our movements are terrible.
He also is spot on that we have the players whose brilliant individualism will win matches and this has been the reason why we win matches usually.

I want to see our games run through Pogba but they just don’t, I’m not sure it’s all his fault but we just don’t use him correctly at all.

Seems to me that when a team is well organised we don't have an answer. Lack of coaching intelligence seems to be the issue here.

Credit to Ole for setting the team up right with Bruno. Doesn't mean he is still doing a great job now. These 2 games they look like they are playing together for the first time. Can you tell me why we are not pressing and why we can't seem to play at all against Brighton?
we look appalling. it is a mystery. my best guess is that we are and will continue to be a team that benefits from confidence and momentum. we have gone on two sensational runs and 2 appalling runs under ole so far, rarely seems to be the inbetween... at no point last season did we show 4th place form, it was 9th place form followed by 1st place form for the final 40% of the season.

Why is Pogba playing at like 30%
Because our manager doesn't have a clue, he's come back from covid with no preseason or fitness. An actually good manager would bench him and start vdb and ease pogba into the season, ole is doing the exact opposite.

but it's why we don't win enough. you can't consistently rely on a moment of brilliance from someone

This team needs so much work, Sancho is not nearly enough and we probably wont even get that.

Why have we been so lethargic this summer in the transfer market, we are paying for it already on the pitch.

Lets hope the second half is better at least.

what does it mean? ole isn't a good coach? it is repeated so widely on the forum and so literally I have been wondering for the last few weeks what people are suggesting, they always say 'we havent been coached' rather than the coaching is bad

It means Ole doesn't invest his time into patterns of play and implementing a system that we can identify with and transition our attacks from. He has said himself his style is more motivation than tactical.

The problem is, cracks show when our defenders and deeper midfielders aren't familiar with how to play the ball out and feed the attack. They aren't pressing as a team and they get hustled off too easily as a result. It's happening in a flurry of games before hitting form, and then happening in a flurry again.

By way of progression, it's a huge concern at this stage.
