After watching the rugby WC final this game seems a bit of an anti climax

Brooks played well last season, but Harry Wilson have played well. The others are bench players normally.

Seriously? Egg chasers only wish their game was as good as ours. It was a shocking game of rugby too. Hardly any rugby played until last 15 minutes. Zzzzz

Calm down pal, it was a final, they're always tense, nervy affairs.

This game will show us if we’ve really turned a corner or just had a purple patch.

Lets hope our play isn't as predictable as our starting 11 was.
Young, clearly a huge weak point in the team and our left side will get most of the pressure I suspect. I doubt we will start all guns blazing and most likely a more conservative approach to conserve energy levels after the midweek game.
Reverting to a back 4 will most likely see us concede at some stage - we will need to score 2 or more to win.

10/11, thought Rojo might start as Lindelof came off injured last week. Brandon Williams should be starting over Young but I knew that wasn't happening. Back to the 4-2-3-1, lets see how it goes, hopefully Martial and Rashford continue to link up well.

Rio's breakdown of the 2011 CL final loss was brilliantly insightful. Fantastic stuff from him.

Second 11/11 in the last three matches. I reckon I am now as qualified our clueless manager.

Solskjaer explains United team selection against Bournemouth
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says the Manchester United team selection against Bournemouth is catered towards building upon the positive foundations of recent weeks.

United have been rejuvenated in the last few games and go into their weekend clash at the Vitality Stadium unbeaten in their last four matches.

Solskjaer has made four changes from the side which defeated Chelsea in midweek, resorting to the same starting line up which blitzed Norwich a week ago.

Anthony Martial returns to the side up front while David de Gea, Ashley Young and Andreas Pereira are all back in from the start.

United can temporarily move up to fifth in the Premier League with a win and Solskjaer has selected the side which he thinks can do just that.

Id be over the moon with a win here. We'd be in such a good position going into the next three, compared to how things looked two weeks ago.

Bloody hell 11 out of 11 right in line up prediction thats a first for me...
Play well and we will win simple as that.
Martial and Rashford starting is a big plus.

Sticking by 1-2 to us. Bournemouth will try and play and it'll give our underdog football the openings it needs to hit them on the break.

Lewis Cook not a starter for them? Thought he was highly rated

He is - but Bournemouth looks like they are going for defensive Power in Billing and Lerma - rather than creativity in Cook

Whilst that makes sense, I hope he isn't risking both Maguire and Rashford just to keep the positive vibe going.

I really like Brooks, have done for a while, and would love to see him at United.
Very neat and tidy with a great left foot and positive movement....certainly an upgrade on a few of our lot.

If only Pogba was fit he'd be ideal to play as a number 10 instead of Pereira in this one.

Nerves setting in now, can't handle another false dawn :(

    What did he say?

How he questioned SAF before the game about being outnumbered in midfield, how Pat got pulled out of position for the Pedro and Messi goals, how Barca asked the sort of questions that nobody in the PL did at the time and how the players felt like they were in a tumbledryer and their heads scrambled during the game

I don't feel too confident for some reason...

If we can get through this with 3 points I'll feel much more hopeful going forward.

    Need to focus here.

Rio barely have his usual positive prediction. Think even reality has hit him

Win this and we're above Arsenal into 5th while also being in a good position in the Europa League and with a good chance to reach the semi finals of the League Cup.

It's not anything to make Utd fans ecstatic but a few weeks ago I was thinking we might be in a relegation battle so I'll take that for now.

    Just fecking win.
