Well if we lose this, we can turn into Ty and blame the rain.

I agree, If that was Mane that would be a red card too. It does changes the dynamic of a game, I just hate how much it matters to get a penalty against Bouremouth because we can't create.
True. Regardless of whether it was a pen or not we should be ahead. The inconsistency from refs as well as ourselves is infuriating.

We are losing but I’ve been encouraged [marginally] by the Fred McTom partnership. Would look even better with Pogba able to take the responsibility of creation off them from an advanced role.

I don't know how much more you guys need to see of Lindeolf to know that he's not good enough!

When Tuanzebe comes back he needs to be Maguires partner going forward.

Change shape and get Pereira off

Started well. Got into some really good areas but couldn't punish Bournemouth.

Martial was playing as a deep lying striker, picking the ball up in good areas and feed our wingers.

As the half went on, we got a bit scrappy and although we kept the ball quite well, didn't threaten.

In the second half, I'd put Rashford up with Martial and put Pereira on the left.

I have said from his very first season that he is nowhere near the bravest goalkeeper. I grew up watching the likes of Bob Wilson, Pat Jennings and Gordon Banks who threw their heads and bodies in among the boots every time

Not that I disagree, but Maguire doesnt exactly look good enough either

yeah, but Rojo has more experience and aggression as well. If Rojo gets back to the player he was before doing his knee, he can be a good option. But the point is Lindeloff is not up to the challenge.

    Why Lindelof?

Our inability to sustain control of a game is so frustrating. The first 15 mins was really good, then we just seemed to completely lose our way. Happens too often.

Defending was poor but the goal was just inevitable given our lack of being able to control games in midfield.

Lindelof does not belong at this level. His defending is atrocious. He is like a less physical Yoshida.

His positioning and reading of play through that whole phase before the goal, is just him avoiding getting in the middle of it. I've never seen a defender that hates defending as much as him.

Not got a single point from a loosing position this season

Might as well turn off now
Here’s a stat for you. United have not yet come from behind under Solskjaer as a permanent manager to even rescue a draw. Last time United came from behind to win or draw in all comps was 02/03/19 when we beat Southampton 3-2 from 0-1 down.

Lindelöf seems scared, shying off all the time and also McTominay seems drunk. He just smashes the ball at the opposition players when trying to play a pass.

Time to make some positive history then!

nothing on our bench gives me hope of a sub turning things around

That was more of a pen than the one on James on Tuesday.

    Absolutely zero consistency.

VAR can feck off tbh. It's the "clear and obvious" error that does it for me. For who does it matter if it's a clear and obvious error by the ref? If its an error its an error. If it's a pen it's a pen, doesn't matter what the ref thought he saw or thought at the time.

Clear and obvious error is just a way for the refs to shift the blame and ultimately the responsibility.

I know you dislike him, it he’s been ok today except for the goal, but that was basically on the whole defence.

If that was reviewed by VAR & the rules no penalty then we really are fecked for officiating.

You shouldn’t blame officiating etc. etc. but the whole evens themselves out stuff is b*llocks; we were denied a penalty at 0-0; winning a ‘softer’ one in another game with different conditions means nothing.

The introduction of VAR should mean the officiating team have to front up & answer questions cause it’s no longer a split second decision.

Yes, VAR has fecked us more than any other team this season.

It really hasn't. Plenty of other teams have had more incidents to complain about than us and few teams have been awarded decisions as poor as the James penalty last week.

Think that was the only mistake he's made all season.

He makes countless mistakes on the ball every week. He's a very poor footballer. That's probably the first defensive mistake he's made though for sure.

Not overly impressed with him tbh. We need a fullback who does more than just defend.
