    I'd expect the same lineup as last week unless Lingard is missing.

    Tough game against a team who'll be well up for it. I don't expect our terrible away record to improve straight away so I'm thinking draw today.
     
    When we lost there back in December it was Carrick/Fellaini in the middle and no Smalling wasn't it :nervous:
     
    I think he will play Carrick and Schneiderlin... I hope not with Fellaini but that could be
     
    rooney dropping back into midfield because he can't control the ball
    fellaini.......fellaini
    lingard not being consistent.

    Please jose, don't make game 1 feel like another tribute to LVG.

    After we bought Di Maria and Falcao - that was one of the games I was most looking forward to. At that time, Rooney, though declining was still a goal scorer. And boy...did we score goals!!!
    This Bournemouth game - I'm not too hot for. For me, i want to see Pogba with Zlatan, though I am mindful that Rooney will drag us down. Mourinho is a huge plus.
    I am looking forward mostly to the Southampton game.

    In saying all that, it's a season opener, which is always one of the most anticipated games of the season.

    Don't worry dude, Jose has categorically stated that Rooney will not be playing in midfield. He will sink or swim as an attacker/striker.

    I think Fellaini will definitely play.
    Jose likes Fellaini and he has given him plenty of game time. I think the team we play today will be similar to that which won the Community Shield last week.
    Jose does not like making changes to the team unless there is very good reason.

    I think we are in for some rough games ahead, has Mourinho starts to get his foot hold on the team, like I say it won't be a pretty season has at the end of the day our CM options are not great, carrick, fellaini, morgan, herrera, like a few said we lost to this lost with that carrick fellaini partnership, and with rooney has our no10 a combination of rooney, fellaini and carrick lacks the guile and creativity to get the best out of zlaten, that's why its going to be a problem winning the PL title this year. Yes its great who we have brought in, but we still going to be fielding guys like carrick, fellaini and rooney has the centre of our creativity, and zlaten uptop makes it pretty slow down the middle, its going to be a problem at times this season. I still think Jose should have signed one or 2 more players to add more creativity to the teams spine, clearly carrick, fellaini and rooney are going to be the weak links in terms of movement and the way we feed zlaten, jose wants the ball quicker to zlaten, well fellaini and rooney are not going to help

    After the form he's shown in the preseason, I am surprised you'd want Darmian over Valencia.

    Not a bad idea, but I really don't want to support what optus have done. I'm still pretty bitter about it.

    Not too long. First half should be up an hour or two after full time.
     
    I think Lingard is injured. Twitter seems to be rife with rumours saying so.
    Pictures of him hanging out with Pogba in public (selfie with a kid fan) yesterday, surely he'd be in training and /or keeping indoors within hotel?
     
    When was the last time we actually won an opening league match? Feels like ages. :(
    Edit: I just remember we won last season opening match against Spurs my bad.
     
    Not going to lie. Im nervous.

    Bournemouth are good and as we all know little to no guarantees in prem. Hoping to see some big moves from Zlatan and Mhiki
     
    Curious about the midfield combo, the rest is pretty obvious with Lingard out.
     
    fecks sake I forgot to check my team before the deadline and I have Pogba to start.
