    Negativity in this thread is very off-putting and unjustified. Some people need to get a grip. See how it plays out first, the same players under a different manager does not mean the same kind of performance.

    Mourinho also made a comment about Pogba saying he'll be fit by Tuesday I think, which probably added to the confusion.
     
    Everyone on here, and all these pundits, can see that Ibra / Rooney won't work so why can't Jose see this?? Micky is on the bench!

    Keeping it. Souness saying it now too, that Rooney should be looking over his shoulder and will have a fight on his hands to keep his place.

    I mean we've been saying it on here for ages, but pundits usually stand in his corner so it's good to see it recognised.

    They might be laying low and give less room to our pacey players but it still doesn't explain why players like Rooney and Fellaini, who are absolutely crap at passing and controlling the ball, gets to start. Simply, there's not really any type of game in which they are better options than others.
     
    According to his statements, seems Mourinho picked those in better shape to start (except Rooney). He mentioned Herrera's fitness and Mata favorably.
     
    Herrera starts because he has 33 training sessions. That is something LVG would say.:lol:
     
    I wasn't very confident going into this game in the first place and that line-up hasn't helped. Hope José pulls a...José.

    So what? He's a great player, but should he play just because of that, while being out of form and still not adapted?
