Bit surprised Memphis made it to the bench, actually. From what I had seen in pre-season, I thought Young was higher in the pecking order.

Jose said Mkhitaryan was a 10. Rooney is currently there. When Rooney does poor for a few games, he will drop him for Mkhitaryan at that stage. After that Rooney will struggle to get back into the side. (I hope)

Team sheet is certainly eyebrow raising,especially that midfield of Herrera/Fellaini.
But the manager knows the best.at least the current manager.Better than anyone of us here.

Be patient.Its difficult off course after the antics of the past 3 years.But still,its Jose now.

Rooney and Mata!? Rooneys no surprise although he doesn't belong there. But Mata on wing again!? Zlatan needs more pace around him. Mata on the wing is a joke I would have played Lingard. We should still win this comfortably though!

Quite interesting with the exception of Zlatan, we're going for something quite similar to what we often used last season. Might be Mourinho starting to season off with some familiarity while blending in new signings.

Not a fan of the team selection for obvious reasons. The difference is, this time I trust the manager to know what he's doing and to use the players in the right way. It's the first game of the season, things won't click straight away so don't be surprised if at times it looks like LvG never left, but overall I think Mourinho will just about get us a win here, most likely by bringing on subs in the second half that'll change the game. I'll go for a 0-1 win for United, relatively late goal and I also have a feeling Bournemouth will have us on the back foot for much of the first half.

I assume Fellaini will be playing in a midfield 2 with Herrera? What the feck. No solidity there what so ever, I can see Bournemouth running at our defence an awful lot.

feck knows why Mata's still being bunged out on the right too. This is such an LVG line up.

Fellaini doesn't have the discipline to be a success as holding midfielder. Will give away too many dangerous free kicks with stupid fouls.
