Unlike in Paris we didn't capitalise on our early advantage. If Rashford hits the net instead of the bar, like how Lukaku did after 90 seconds at PSG, maybe this game turns out differently? As it is we're struggling to keep our heads above water. That De Gea gaffe really f'd us. We'll need a comeback on the level of Turin 1999 to get through and, at the moment, there's no one taking the Keane leadership role to drive us forward. Do we even have that in this squad..?

    Back to blaming Ole now...

    So fecking predictable this place.
Ole is definitely at fault for consistently playing Young. Feck his experience. Lost count the amount of goals we've conceded due to him this season.

Look at that our World Class runner is first

    Look at pogba

Sadly this is what happens when a big, commercially successful footbal club plays a big, successful commercial operation with a sideline in football.

Young, Lingard, Martial, Fred and Rashford are way out of their depth.
    It’s sad to watch really.

No need for a second half just let everyone get an early night.

That's on the club, we have 1 fullback capable of playing in a CL quarterfinal, and he's suspended, and then a teen and some old wingers.

If we were a slightly dumb club with our money, we'd have 2 very good fullbacks. 3 if we were actually smart. We have 1.
Ole saw Young struggle in the 1st leg, played no different than he is today and yet he's out there again. Dalot should have been given a chance based off Young's form.

We’ve turned into Liverpool, and Liverpool have turned into us.

Man City are possibly the best team In the world.

These two sentences were impossible not so long ago. Sir Alex must be fuming.

My point is hes as bad as the others. One near assist doesn't mean much. But it's Pogba, he always gets an excuse.
Big chances don't mean much? Ok.

I'm not saying he's been great, but like a lot of the times he's slated, he's the least of our problems.

Why aren't we playing like we did when OGS first came into town? So frustrating!

Our players aren't as good as they're made out to be. Martial and Rashford aren't good enough. Lingard isn't good enough. Pogba isn't the player he's made out to be. The less said about Young the better and there's always a mistake in our team at crucial time, yet we wonder why we're just so mediocre.

Ole has been fecked by the players. Young and DDG have put us in this position.

feck it, give Young a go on feee kicks. He has scored some in the past for us, anything around where the last one was taken would fit in with his typical ball shape.

Only 4 of current starting 11 were bought after SAF retired. That alone says it all as to the mess that is Manchester United these days.

Good to see that last save from DDG. That would have been the game wrapped up...

Messi is not the same player for Argentina

Plays substantially better than Pogba does. I’m not saying Pogba is the blame for this game but the minute things get testing he just fouls the opposition and gets in a hissy fit. He should lead by example.

Messi is a cheating twat on growth hormones. VAR needed to verify. Once it does then it’s still technically 0-0. Tie is still on, come on lads

That's the thing, when you're relying on Ashley Young for leadership and experience, you know as a team you are FECKED.

And the next rung of the experience ladder is mediocrity in Smalling and want-away De Gea.

There is no big-game-winning nous anywhere in this team. Not even from Pogba.

I genuinely fear for our club, there seem to be issues which no amount of money can solve

Oh give it a rest Mourinho lover. The whole squad is shit

Where did I mention Mourinho? What's Martial being a fraud got to do with Mourinho?

Reminiscing over that 2nd place last year and the two trophies? Regretting saying Mourinho was at fault for everything and that it was never the players' fault?

Not my business to say or take confessions, nor is the matchday thread a place to do such things.

Big chances don't mean much? Ok.

I'm not saying he's been great, but like a lot of the times he's slated, he's the least of our problems.
Problem is his attitude. Not the biggest one but a problem.

Ole has been fecked by the players. Young and DDG have put us in this position.

Very true. But Ole chose Young, and half the caf wouldn't have had him ahead of Dalot. Young did a young, as expected.

Start well, and then..? Yep, Young happens. But i don't blame Young anymore. This is something Ole has can do something about. How? Bench Young. Dalot is by far a better option. By a fecking mile.

Pogba just hiding around the midfield.. does feck all. Horrible body-language. Martial the same.

Ole can't do anymore with these players. He just can't. Nobody can. Can't wait for the summer. My god.

Put Alexis up front... better than lingard who is just wandering around aimlessly

If we do not have options other than Ashley Young as a full back why are we lining up with a formation that requires full backs? Surely the point is to find a formation that suits the players at our disposal not shoe horn players into positions they cannot perform in?

I feel a bit bad for Young. He's shit but we shouldn't be relying on him as much as we are - that's a club issue.

Then stop playing him. I find it amazing we can put in McTominay, Rashford etc but we cant give young defenders a chance

How do half of you get the time to actually watch the game! When there’s non stop posting for 90 mins

Okay, let me ask you this, why do you think Ole continues to pick Young ahead of him?

I get your point about Young being defensively more reliable but I would rather sacrifice some defense for proper football with Dalot and if that's not an option I would play a defender at FB like Jones/Lindelof. At least their defending would be more reliable.

My point is his reliability is an illusion considering how badly he has been playing.

Where did I mention Mourinho? What's Martial being a fraud got to do with Mourinho?

Reminiscing over that 2nd place last year and the two trophies? Regretting saying Mourinho was at fault for everything and that it was never the players' fault?

    Love those names.
