Well this is a must win game tbh. As important as City, if we lose this game we need to get a win at Villareal which is not an easy ask at all.
Expecting a back 4 against Watford though.
That kid also has no position in this 'new' tactic anymore... just like the slightly older Sancho. Thats over 100m for a position that does not exist anymore.

You thought Ole was gonna go with 3 strikers?Interesting to see how this plays out. Rashford is nothing like as hard working as Cavani, he won't do much covering and tracking back like Cavani did, but obviously has more pace for the counter attacker. Likewise Pogba is much more attacking than Fred. Looks like small changes on paper but I think this is a more attacking change than at first glance.
Or misread Baileys situation at Utd?I have a feeling McSauce might get destroyed in midfield if Bruno and Pogba don't do enough defensive work to help him out. At this level, it can be brutal playing CDM by yourself. You get found out pretty quickly if you are not good enough.

He won't have the confidence to change back to 4 at the back anytime soon in my opinionI’ll be very interested in seeing whether Pogba will be up for it tonight. A brilliant talent, he too often looks bored on the pitch for us.Bruno and Pogba in midfield is worrisome. They’re not very disciplined and I feel we’ll get torn to shreds here but hopefully I’m wide of the mark.Not too worried about Rashford playing instead of Cavani. Ofcourse Rashford doesnt press that much but this is counter attacking line up and Rashford is really good in the counter. Ole his earlier sit back and counter attack tactic was based on Rashford (and Dan James) and that went pretty well.
So i suppose less pressing up front but more danger and speed on the counter.On paper, strong starting line up, this is a formation made for Pogba with McBruno in support of a midfield three. Personally, I would have started Telles and rested Shaw for City and put in Donny instead of Mctominay. I'm very interested to see Ronaldo and Rashford.
Ole will not get sacked, as much as we do need a new manager. If a formation change is the turn Ole needed, this looks a great turning point. With that bench and that starting 11, he needs to win this with no exception. I predict 4 1 to us, we have to have momentum from Sat.
You can always tell within the first few minutes of a match whether or not he is 'on it'.

I think it’s written in the stars that we lose this, Ole gets sacked and we all (rightly) have a meltdown for not sacking him last week when Conte was available.Doesn’t matter about the system we need to be aggressive as a team. This will be a bigger test against Atalanta who will be playing in a similar way. Just don’t sit there paralysed in our shape like against RB Leipzig last year.
