    Bruno x Pogba in the 5-3-2. This is going to be very interesting!

    I thought he might go for Matic instead of McT but nope. Lot riding on McT having a good game today.
     
    Greenwood, Cavani, Sancho, Martial, Lingard, Donny on the bench. whew that's some squad....

    Acceptable can be debatable based on the opposition but in general an away draw is good enough. In some circustances maybe not but right now drawing away to Atalanta would be good enough (but only just).
     
    Pogba will surely go well in this formation.

    Excited to see if we can build some more confidence and momentum now ahead of the derby.
     
    Hopefully Bailly will be okay after not playing for quite a long time. We're still gonna win!

    dont get the focus on dvb from some in here. what did he ever show that you think he should start in front of pogba or mcfred? i cant remember a game where he showed something promising

    That would be an OK result. Both teams are in poor form with 3 wins in 8 games. We've also lost our last 3 CL away games.

    We just can't lose - that would set up a shootout in Villarreal on 23 November to decide who qualifies from the group. I think the Board might start considering caretakers if that were to happen.

    I think the logic is by not moving Shaw Maguire and Varane don’t need to shift to CB/RCB and remain LCB/CB

    Whenever the Caf reacts well to a pre-match line up the game is shit. I'm very optimistic though! I thought I'd give this game a pass because I have work to do, but feck that, I'll watch the game and work late at night instead.
     
    Very interesting lineup. If the system manages to still be compact and we play well; this could be a major turn
     
    WOW Bailly gets a start. Good line up, Utd will win this.
     
    I really wish Bailly could kick on, better than Lindelof if only he wasn't made of glass and stupidity.
     
    Now this looks a bit more attacking than the weekend , Pogba in there, Bially in a back 3 . Rashford is a fair shout. Like this line up . 5 subs as well. But said this before we see at 10pm . How it's gone .

    I'm fine with 352 and all that but it is Ole admitting his project has failed.

    We have got 8 attackers now who won't play most of the time.

    Tonight it's
    Mata
    Greenwood
    Martial
    Sancho
    VDB
    Amad
    Cavani
    Lingard

    Ok some of them like Mata and Amad it's ok to have no minutes but we still have a massive problem now that we only play 3 attackers and two are Ronaldo and Bruno so they play practically every game.

    Rashford Greenwood and Cavani will share the third spot and the rest don't even have a spot to compete for.

    We spent 70 mil on Sancho and now play a formation where his position doesn't exist.

    So while this formation may work going forward, it is the start of an entirely new Project for Ole.
     
    Interested to see how a back 5 works with Pogba in the midfield. Not a fan of McTominay over Fred though.
     
    Ok, totally forgot we hadn't sold Mata.

    Good looking team on paper, personally would prefer Fred's energy and shielding to McT, but could go either way. Trick will definitely be for McT to park himself in support of the back 3 when the wing backs get forwards. Atalanta will counter us with ease otherwise (see last time).

    I think we'll be seeing a lot of the 5-3-2 now. Will be that way for City at the weekend, certainly.

    Thank god we avoided Conte and his silly obsession with wingbacks!
     
    Yeah, interesting alright. Looking forward to seeing that in action. Some motivation for Baiily, seeing us Looking at 3 centre halves again. Will Pogba look a better fit in midfield in this formation. Rashers in a 2 man forward line, looking forward to all that.
     
    Looking forward to this. Would have been interested to see one of Telles or Dalot start, but hey ho.

    He’s had about 5 games to show anything. He might never be good enough for United, but he’s had far from a fair opportunity at showing it.

    Rashford's pace on the counter will be critical tonight. Ronnie is no slouch either, even at 36.

    We're gonna win this comfortably.
