I'm sure we would have fully scanned/ tested him but I wonder if Rashy's back is 100%. Maybe he is anticipating the pain a bit like Shaw took a while to get back after his leg break

United have been in second gear in some ways but they’ve run hard, matches Villa’s effort and have better players. That’s ultimately always going to count for something.

    Yay, go money!!

The problem is the passing out from the defence.

After the Bournemouth defensive shit-show, we're hoofing it up far too often today. The midfielders/attackers aren't suited to winning the ball back in those situations, so Villa are getting hold of it far too easily.

Once we get possession, we're keeping it fairly well. We're a bit slow with the tempo, but I think that's because of how afraid we are of losing the ball and getting pushed back again.

DDG might not be as good a passer as Ederson, but he's usually better than this. We need to calm the feck down when distributing it from the back.

I'd say so for sure. I said last season that I wouldn't be surprised to see Greenwood overtake Marcus within two years and it's not looking outlandish at all right now. The two-footedness is amazing, but his all-around play is so mature as well, which really gets me excited.

Not to take away from Rashford though. He's still a big player for us when he's on form.
Yep. I feel privileged that we've got two of the biggest English striking talents in our team. We talk of Rashford as a senior player yet he's only 22.

Didn't even clock that was Masons right foot. feck me

He has definitely been favouring his left since getting into the first team, but to do that with your "weak" foot... Incredible
He doesn’t have a weak foot mate we’ve all been telling you

Villa started well - we were not doing well with their press open play and goal kicks. Got quite a few good balls into the box and lucky to survive. Penalty decision was atrocious but, feck the moral high ground, gladly take it.

Mason Greenwood - just give him the ball like in basketball and let him shoot.

Rashford needs to do something to get his confidence going, he is seems so off at the moment.

    What do you mean,‘weak foot?’

He takes penalties with his right and blasted in a free kick from 25 yds out with his right. There is no weak foot

Expertcommentator on TV2 just reasured all of Norway that the choppernoises in the background was not an german invasion.

He doesn’t seem to be 100% and he may also be being a bit careful to manage himself through all the games, United need him for every match.

We have definitely gotten better as the half went on. Rashford needs to do more and stop being brainless with his play.
He's just struggling more than others coming back from lockdown, I hope he's really recovered from the back injury. He's an intelligent guy, I think he knows he's lagging and you can see how he's frustrated not to be in the form he was in earlier in the year.

Does Mason have a chant? Need to get one sorted for when crowds are allowed back.

Look at Martial for that second goal. Gets stuck in and wins the ball, then starts the attack, sprints up and end up assisting Mason. He is more driven and thriving than I remember seeing him.

fecking hell, AWB and Matic are playing bad, tired and on a yellow yet they don't get rested.

I'm calling it lads, Greenwood is the best finisher world football has seen since Van Basten.

That's a bold statement. The Ronaldos, Messi, RVN, RVP, Ibrahimovic, and many more since.
I agree he can feature among these names, but to one up them would be quite the feat. The potential is there still.

    Conspiracy theory time.

De gea's confidence has been shattered ever since Mason has trained with the first team.

I thought he might have done it again when he fell last game. Looked a repeat of what happened last time. You might be right on his concerns about it.

Not to be greedy or anything but.....a 5-0 would be nice here. Close the goal difference between us and Leicester

Marcus is still off but he was our best player before he got injured so hopefully he'll come good. Scary to think how good our forward line will be if he does
And it's not that big of a deal because if he's having an off period, we have other great forwards to show up, like Greenwood. Sooner or later, Rashford will come back into his proper form. Nice to not have to rely on one person.
