Defensively we haven't been that great, and look rather open every time someone runs at us.Some players are not carrying their weight. The 3 at the back still doesn't look convincing. Playing just 1 midfielder and that being Fletch can't be helping either.We've dominated possesion but lack penetration and creativity. Villa has been well organised, with Vlaar being the best player of the half.
Would like Di Maria to play for as long as he's fit for in the 2nd half. We need to keep them running and we should be able to crack their defense.To all you lot calling for Di Maria, he's probably only fit for 20 or so minutes. I'd rather keep him on the bench and drop points if need be, rather than risking him missing more games in the future.I love matchday threads.
