    We're up against a shite midfield. Upfront, they have Benteke, Agbanlahor and Wiemann. I know where I'd rather have quality and that isnt in midfield.
     
    Dissapointing that Pereira isn't even on the bench when both Herrera and Blind is out...Glad that Falcao starts though.

    Its because there is no midfield in line ups like this. Theres 6 defenders and 4 attacking players. Which I do not like.
     
    How on earth are Fellaini and Herrera injured within a week,are we doing the hunger games in training or what

    Anyways, a diamond isnt really an option imo when 3 of our defenders would be young valencia and evans and we're up against benteke agbanlahor and to an extent wiemann
     
    Seems an unnecessarily unbalanced team. Have to see how it goes though.

    He can handle both those positions very well. I didn't expect him to start the match, but at least be on the bench. It's important that we keep talents like him in the club, and even though he trains regularly with the firstteam, it's important that he feels that he actually getting closer to the firstteam imo. And when 2 of ours CMs are out it could be a great opportunity for him, but oh well.

    I agree it would look amazing, but if we're coasting, I'd leave Di Maria on the bench, as we've got quite a few games coming up.
     
    Damn, I'm almost as heartbroken to see Fletch as I am to see Falcao. I can honestly say I'd much rather see Anderson in CM.

    Looks like LVG is trying to compensate for our crap midfield options with ramped-up offense. Makes total sense.
     
    Hope our midfield holds up today.
    My prediction is a 3-1 victory.
    Rooney,Falcao,Van Persie with the goals.
     
    So, lets say Falcao has a decent second half to the season. Could the fixed buy out price be negotiated?

    it's got the same level of balance as the Liverpool selection. Fletcher for Fellaini and Falcao for Wilson is not changing the formation and system used. I'm not a fan of Mata AND Rooney playing as midfielders in the same side but it worked last week.
     
    For all the moans about our midfield on here, when RVP is in form you have to feel you've a chance to win any game.
