I'm worried we'll get overrun in midfield. Having neither Fellaini or Herrera

I'd rather we play Valencia in Fletcher's position and give rafael a start at RB/RWB providing he's fit.

Decent enough team, although I thought we'd go back to a back four. I'm thinking we'll dominate possession, but we'll have to be wary of Villa's counter. Feeling confident.

He's going to be rusty when he hasn't played, so playing him will hopefully contribute to him getting back to form/fitness. Also rotation is key during the Christmas period.

If Carrick is in defence Fletcher should be alright in the Blind role sitting in front of the defence and passing sideways.

If Carrick is in midfield we maybe short of energy in midfield but our attack can make up for that plus Di Maria can come on.

Looks good and Villa is like a home ground anyway.

It's for another thread. I think we overpaid for ADM. Wonderful player but would rather have Alexis at the price Arsenal paid. Blind is a good squad player at a good price but probably wouldn't start with everyone ready. Herrera is a 30 million midfielder who doesn't start. Falcao was a player we didn't need and he's hardly been fit. Rojo is decent but not really better than what we already had. Shaw is great.

It's not a major issue, we've improved a lot, just feel that with that outlay, we could have done better to address our weaknesses.

games are won and lost in midfield. Thus the importance of Fletcher is crucial.

Disappointing that Herrera is ill and won't get a chance now. Have to feel for him.

I still don't think we will win this one, even though Villa are rubbish, you just can't keep winning forever and for some weird reason it feels like today is the say it stops.

Clearly this will be his future position. His pace is waned abit and rvp and falcao have better movement off the ball. Wayne can defend and all he has to see another United legend that became a solid midfielder later in his career. Anyway he can do the job
