People are exaggerating Saka danger. Yes he is a very good player, but it’s not like he scores or assists every game - whereas our defence is clearly not the worst in the league.

I thought Martial would start but if he doesn"t show anything I would not be surprised if he is taken off before half time. Eric needs to let him know his half arsed efforts wont be tolerated any more.

Hojlund will come on after 2 minutes when martial has felt a fly lane on his hamstring and pulled it. Joking aside, he’s trained for one week. Makes perfect sense to not start him.

but my post was in response to the midfield you questioned. We don’t have anyone better than those two on the bench so hopefully eth has some tactics up his sleeve for this match.

got to think positive as we’ve got mount / mainoo (who eth really rates) in midfield out plus malacia / shaw and varane in midfield with Amrabat ready for the next match.

Saka will happily go down the outside. The willingness to go both ways is one of the reasons he's so much more dangerous than Antony.

Frankly we'd need a left footed version of AWB to stop Saka.
