    Hojlund is a much better player than Nketiah, the fact that he didn’t yet play for us doesn’t change that. So he gets into the best XI

    Martinelli over Rashford is like Antony over Saka. Laughable.

    Odegaard over Bruno is more difficult, but in such a formation and with Casemiro + Rice behind, Bruno most likely would be significantly more efficient

    Yeah. Shaw played like a pussy that whole game. Constantly standing off Saka and letting him do whatever he wanted. Gave him too much respect.

    I still don't understand what happened to Shaw that game.

    Would start McT. Play Erickson further forward with Bruno ( or Sancho who is good on that role). Play Rasmus up top with Rashford off the left. Plug the gaps and hit them on the transition. It’s what teams do to beat Arsenal.

    You're going to have to jog my memory here as I'm struggling to remember him scoring against Arsenal in the league. I remember he set up a goal for Rashford in the 3-1. That was when McT was in the form of his life (actually was better than Casemiro) and also the game was at OT. I feel like with Casemiro looking a slow starter, with Eriksen's physical limitations and with our defense missing 2 regulars, we can't risk another defensively weak player.

    EDIT: Saw your edit, seems I still have my mental faculties. Yeah, he was great in that match but my larger point still stands.

    No, it isn't. Antony is much worse than all 4 of them. Martinelli is an excellent player.
     
    Remember we had the same sort of pessimism before the Liverpool game at OT early last season.

    Hopefully we can surprise again. We're due a good performance to kickstart the season.

    I'm not saying you're wrong on paper, but he raised his game like no other that day and he might do it again. He's obviously up for this particular match because of his time at Spurs
     
    Martial injured during warmup it seems. You can't make this shit up useless player.
