not going to win the title as we don't score enough so lets just focus on maintaining ourselves in the top 4....that's the goal right now and maybe get ourselves a mickey mouse cup trophy this season.

A point at Arsenal could be quite valuable come the end of the season so we need to grind this one out...i'd put the three guys up top with pace in garnacho, martial, rashford and look to play them on the counter as you know Arteta will have them flying to attack us.

    De Gea
    AWB - Varane - Shaw - Malacia
    Martinez
    Eriksen - Fred
    Fernandes - Rashford - Garnacho

Feck it. Don't want to see Antony or McTominay start. 2-1 Arse unfortunately.

Agreed and wouldn't be surprised if this is going to be the actual XI as well.

Far too much chat about the title race especially when it’s game week 18-19.

United need to blockout that crap now and just play the next game.

Arsenal vs United is great match for Sunday afternoon. I can’t wait!

Everything went right till 80th minute and it proves ETH did get lot of things right.

I am sure he will come up with something this time too. We are not that bad and Arsenal are not that good either.

I wouldn't think too much about yesterday's match going into this one. Missing Cas is a problem but losing two points yesterday is a shame, nothing more. You basically had three points and then Olise scores a FK he probably will never score again. The odds of him doing that again are as big as Lucas Moura scoring a hattrick in a CL semi final. (FFFFFUUUUUUUU) let it go and go for three points coming Sunday.

Be interesting to see what he does. You’d think best bet is catching them in transitions and is martial going to be back.

Just wondering if he’ll go with Fred and McT or just Fred and move either Martinez or Shaw in to midfield .

    DDG
    Bissaka-Varane-Martinez-Shaw
    McT-Fred
    Bruno-Erik-Rashford
    Martial?

When Ole was sacked and someone said this would be the Utd team in 15 months time, I would have said no fecking chance!

    Brings back some bad memories!

He played his full strength team. Of course he was going to get a lot of things right.

I guess we're all agreeing that Arsenal are gonna hammer us? Like 5-0

Last PL home loss for Arsenal was 9th April last year. Just a stat.

    Too much for what?
Ah a lot of young members you must remember as they seem to forget or not know, remember that time Feb 98 and bookies start paying out winnings to people who had betted on UTD winning that title due to been 11 point ahead and then come March it was 12, or when Newcastle were 17 points ahead with 15 games to go in 96.

We better hope that when the gods toss a coin to determine which Fred turns up for United that it's the good one this time :nervous: . His energy will be key for us to get anything here, especially with Casemiro missing.

Direct pacy counters will probably be the order of the day with maybe Rashford starting through the middle if Martial is not fit.

We used up that Fred against City, didn't we?

    For what exactly?

Even if Arsenal go twelve ahead, there are 18 games to play. Remember when we lost the League City in 2012?

This Arsenal team won't lose 5 points to a Wigan (Forest) and Everton like we did

He should flog them more. Not going for the second goal was so criminal.

Yeah they clearly didn't heed warning from games against Southampton,Leicester and Wolves. They got away with it by hanging on and you can't keep doing that without being punished.

Think someone pulled up a stat that we haven't won away league game by more than a goal since Leeds last February which is unacceptable.

2 of those games were like 20 games ago! And we only scored late v Wolves ourselves

Watching city win after being 2-0 down might just give Arsenal a twitchy bum going into this

    Let’s fecking do em

Every once in a while McTominay invokes some force that completely transforms him into a world beater.
He tends to reserve these for big games as well. Here's to hoping Sunday is one of those days

Fully relaxed going into this game now since my expectations are super low. Hope we have the energy to put up a good fight. Results don’t matter thaaaaat much given how top 4 is shaping up now.

We'll win this. I'm still not fully convinced by Arsenal. They've not beaten anyone in the Top 4 yet (lost to us, drew with Newcastle, havent played City at all). They've managed to squeeze their way through the first half of the season but I just dont see it. They've also beaten Chelsea and Liverpool who are having real off seasons. Probably their best result this season is beating Brentford at their place which is a tough ask this season.
I’m not convinced by them either but they are top of the table for a reason. I still fancy City to win the league though.

certainly hope we can nick a point off of them.....just don't see us winning as they are flying right now

Glad they slipped further back but still in agony over Palace
Think of it this way, if that Palace game wasn't sandwiched between the City and Arsenal games then we'd be quite content with a 1-1 draw there at some point this season. People got a bit dizzy dreaming about a title challenge. A comfortable top four finish would be a huge improvement on last season.
