Congratulations. You win the award for worlds biggest bore. I imagine you watch every game of football and simply declare the final scoreline a completely accurate representation of the game.
It is a completely accurate representation of who the better team is and who gets the three points for a win. Boringly simple as that fact is.

Mata should have been sold when LVg was here ..
He is one of the most useless signings we ever did... him and Felliani in Moyes season..
He can play nowhere? We played him as a Rw in front of Valencia for so many seasons..
    selective memory

There were times under LVG that were bad but this is the lowest in terms of

    For the simple-minded.

..…Rashford is not shit.. he scored 20 last season.. he is mentally shot. ..
He may be mentally shot, but too many people are playing up his goal scoring for last season in particular.
For the record, Rashford scored 11 league goals last season (not bad for an outfield player).
That’s only the second time in 7 seasons, that he’s scored more than 10 goals in the league.
The remainder of his goals last season, were mostly in Europa League games, where the opposition was generally weaker. He was a nonentity in the final rounds of that competition.

He might be able to rejuvenate his career under ETH, but at this stage, we can see that we need much better quality if we’re serious about challenging for titles again.

Yes there was. Games we were winning were not down to a cohesive football. Teams like Chelsea and Liverpool were always going to catch up due to the context of last year.

Our form at the end of last season was also shocking. It was that bad that Liverpool nearly pipped us to second. The rewriting of last season as a success is still one of the biggest jokes I have ever heard
I agree we flattered to deceive a lot of last season and there were some warning signs. But most level headed fans were excited for the season ahead and wondered if we could step up to the next level and start dominating teams. Obviously with the benefit of hindsight we didn’t do that and instead went backwards in a big way but I don’t think that was predicable.

    For the simple-minded.
The simple-minded will say that the team that finishes with the most points at the top of the Prem at the end of the season are the best team in the league and therefore League champions. But the simple-minded would be tediously correct. Because the rules are really that simple.

Why bother watching when you can tell everything from the score?

Should have given the youth players a chance. They may have produce more energy than Mata who cannot win the ball back if lost. Bruno should have been taken off earlier as he has lost confidence.
The 3rd goal was due to Bruno's mistake as he cannot control and lost the ball.
Play Ganacho and why is Hannibal not in the team? Stop selecting Jones and Mata, maybe play 3 defensive center backs for away games and also be covers for the cannot defend full backs Dalot and Telles. The first and second goals were due to their poor positioning or lack of position senses.
Baily should have been given a chance and he will add some robustness.

We played 3 games in 5 days
We literally played the kids against Leicester

meanwhile... it takes four minutes to City to do to Watford what we couldn't if we were still going!

The scouts who recommended Dalot and Telles should be fired and banned from any football-related employment for the rest of their lives. They are hands down the worst fullbacks in the entire league.

Why bother watching when you can tell everything from the score?
The point i am making is saying that we were the better team is plainly and boringly obviously wrong. When we lost. That doesnt make us better. We may have dominated much of the second half but that does not make us the better team of the two on the pitch. Because the better team in the rules of football is the one that scores the most goals. Simples. The rest is ifs and buts. As the best team in the Prem is the one that is top of the league.

Bayern Munich were not the better team when we won the Champions League in 1999. United were.

Quite unreal to see people here blaming Ralph... just what was he supposed to do with the hand he was dealt and clearly not allowed to buy anyone in the transfer window. So many of those doing the blaming probably blamed the players under Ole.

the board must take the blame for allowing the drift for months before sacking Ole, then going for an interim manager for longer than some full-time bosses have been given

I'm afraid AWB is no better and Shaw seems to have returned to his old form, proving Jose correct

Zero to work with? The same players - without Ronaldo and Sancho - ended as number 2 last season. Ralf is a big reason, why the team does not work. But it is easier for him to say, that we have to sell 10 players than admitting, he is not good enough himself. Getting Rangnick was a huge own goal, but United was in a situation, where no one trusted Solskjær, and there was not a free good manager around.

you mean the very players who cannot adapt to new systems, the very players playing last seasons setup were worse than now, the very players that as Bruno said are not playing their best, the very players with feet out of the door..

Point at RR all you want I see it very differently

If ever a man had that look of "get me out of here" it was Ralf at the final whistle, when he picked up his coat and other belongings I felt sure he was going to reach behind the seat and pull out a suitcase, saying, "tell the coach to go without me I'm off to the Airport".

We could and should have won that game, created more chances, including a penalty miss (and it is a miss when your player hits the woodwork or shoots wide). Gave away sloppy first two goals to Arsenal, but they had a blockbuster third. In between CR scored a great opportunist goal and we had at least two clear chances and two half chances and their keeper pulled out a great save from Telles.

Up until the penalty we were well in it and had that gone in, I felt we were more likely to go on and win. But the same schoolboy errors, the sloppy passes, the poor first touches, the failure, until deep into second half, to get some telling balls into the box... and Fred wasn't playing!
And how pi**ed did Jessie and Marcus look when they came on?

One ray of hope, instead of trying to 'cut-in' all the time, Sancho began making some decent attempts to get to and along the goal line, unfortunately he only got one clear effort into the box, but with his range of dribbling skills, that's the way to go Jadon.

I think Ralf was far too nice allowing Martial and Donny to leave in January with no replacements.

Cavani has been constantly injured, Pogba in and out and of course the Greenwood situation. Our team today had no quality on the bench.

We’d have been better keeping Martial and letting Lingard go for starters.

I understand but martial was walking around on the pitch cba, whereas as Lingard at least is a Duracell bunny to nowhere

The rules of football never mention the 'better team'. If you score more goals you win and you get all three points. As for finishing a top the table, you are crown champions.

The chuckle brothers coming on was the icing on the cake.

The season was recoverable in January. We were desperate for a defensive midfielder but didn't bring one in. That was clear at that point in my mind that the club didn't give a shit about this seasons finish. The final nail in the coffin was the Mason story exploding.

But we have a Manager that will continually pick players that do not perform and can't be arsed to run. Granted, he doesn't have too many options, but a lot of the options he could have turned too he decided to loan.

I absolutely agree that fourth place was still very much salvageable in January -- and somehow would still be in reach had we beaten Arsenal today -- but the squad was in truth shattered during the last few weeks of Ole's reign. Bringing in a top CDM would have made a difference in January but I'm not sure there was one to be had at that time. And then Mason exploding, shocking stuff that we still haven't recovered from.

Ralf can't be blamed a whole lot. Until today we were still somehow in the hunt for fourth. No transfer funds were made available to him, perhaps understandably so, but he did make some of the same mistakes Ole made with his faith in McTominay and Maguire.

Not here to WUM given we are a bog average side bar a few players - but if you can't beat us with Tavares, Soares, Eddie and a midfield base of Xhaka and El Neny playing then there is something seriously wrong.

Wycombe won, and I got to see the last 40mins online at least!

And at least Ronaldo scored. Yet the rest was poor.
Well you got to see xaka score a beauty....
Please don't ever miss a Wycombe game ever again

The Arsenal fans were a real delight too.

I really have to stop using the work guy's pass and ending up about 8 seats from the away end as morons just scream and gesticulate across you towards them all game :D

Yeah pretty much that's been my experience as well.
I know people say the in game atmosphere is something else and while that certainly is true and it's fun to see the lads from such a small distance, I've come yo prefer watching the game from the comfort of my home(you get to see the intricacies of it better as well).
    But each to their own:)

Yeah same here no europe as opposed to ropey league would give him time on the training ground

If arsenal gets into the top 4, they will be fodder for some of the bigger teams. They are a season away from being consistent or decent.
But this season away from Europe has made a big diff to them

Yep, I certainly don't miss the travel, and the scumbag fans, both away and our own.

But it's still nice to watch the big players like Ronaldo in the flesh while we can.

Only saw him once first time round, and then once against us for Juve.
4 times this season is ok, not too special, but ok. He's scored 4 in those 4.

At least he'll be around next season.
