Fellaini is no midfielder. He passes the ball and then runs (ambles) forwards assuming the rest of the team will work it out to a winger and the winger will cross it. This is very Moyes-esque.

He needs to offer himself for the pass back. If he doesn't we will either lose the ball or the ball will go back to defence.

This is why we need Herrera, he drives forwards and he is ever-present in midfield
