Darmian at LB over Blind makes no sense, Blind is a much better LB so I guess Darmian will be operating as practically an extra CB instead so Valencia can push right up.

Mate, figuring and making any sense of the line up these days is literally harder than rocket science.

Not much confidence in that line-up, especially the offense. Heavily reliant on Mkhitaryan to create something, and looking at his last few performances that doesn´t seem very likely. All hope on Ibrahimovic to make the difference for us, again.

The only winger else we got is Martial , so one of them will start regardless . Agree with Hererra but Carrick and Pogba together won't bad in controlling the game + He may have thought of resting Andre for the Chelsea game as he'll need his dynamism against them while today may not need him much .

Shaw deserved to start this game over Darmian, Shaw has been good the last two games. I love how people thought Darmian was good against Sunderland. He was good because he had absolutely nothing to do, everything was up Shaw's wing attacking wise too. Still a good team, would have liked to see Martial on but what can you do.

Jose still hasn't figured out his best team, that's the biggest reason I think. I'm struggling myself with it. It's only Zlatan, Pogba, Valencia and Herrera who are certain starters. Not even Ddg is nailed on anymore. Maybe Mikhi but he's too inconsistent.

I hate it when Darmian plays, too. Like, he's genuinely fecking terrible. Comfortably the most pointless player we have at the club, and we have two much better options sat on the bench. Where are we even going with selections like that long term?

LvG was pretty straightforward. Got 14+ points 10 times last season. Only managed it 4 times this season.

This season I've got 8 or fewer points 18 times compared to 8 times last season.

He was doing with Chelsea in the first season with them ( second period ) . Continuous rotating between Torres , Ba , Eto' . Schurrle , Salah and Wilian . The next season he fixed a constant starting XI all the season .

He tends to do this in his first season to get a look at each player's performance and decide his formation and what players will remain with him .

Fully expect a constant starting XI next season .
