Derby County Football Club, nicknamed The Rams, a tribute to its links with the First Regiment of Derby Militia, which took a ram as its mascot - are a professional football club based in Derby, England; and were founded in 1884, by William Morley as an offshoot of Derbyshire County Cricket Club in an attempt to give players and supporters a winter interest as well as secure the cricket club extra revenue. Derby are notable for being one of the 12 founder members of the Football League in 1888, it is one of only ten clubs to have competed in every season of the English Football league system. Derby's greatest period of success came immediately after the appointment of Brian Clough and Peter Taylor in 1967 - initially with promotion to the First Division in 1969, followed by a fourth place finish in 1970, winning the Football League Championship in 1972, and reaching the semi-finals of the European Cup vs Italian giants Juventus. Derby's fiercest rivals are Nottingham Forest (East Midlands Derby); and they also have minor rivalries with Leeds United and Leicester City. They play their home games at Pride Park Stadium.

Will never happen but want to see something like that.

I hope someone else is in charge before we play Derby otherwise I can see us getting knocked out.

What I wish is that Van Gaal gets sacked tomorrow, and then we get a new sense of life in. Sell Fellaini hopefully as well. They're a shite team, we don't need to go super defensive or all cautious. Just a good old 4-4-2 and go for it. Or maybe a 4-4-1-1 with Mata in behind Rooey with Martial wide.

Was gonna meet up with a few mates after work to watch this in a pub but I think we'll head somewhere without electricity now. Honestly don't want to watch this game, unless the manager is sacked prior to Friday.

Hopefully van Gaal is gone by tonight. Can't stomach watching another match with this guy in charge -- he's crap.

Before I'm accused of having an agenda I'll say it now, for the millionth time.
    If Fellaini starts we lose.

We are marginally better away from home, so I'm hopeful some attacks will result in a few shots on target. Anything beyond that is a bonus.

It's going to be a difficult game, I think we should set up with 2 DMs and defensive wingers. Hopefully we can take it to a replay (fingers crossed)

    This is the best idea.
We need to play for a draw. If can do a smash and grab - great. Otherwise we take it to a replay @ OT and beat them.
We can't rely on OG, penalties and lucky goals, as we have been doing in the last few games.

Let's not forget that Middlesborough beat us when we were in better form, than we are now, so Derby (away) can definitely beat us.

    Prediction 1-1.

    The show must go on...

    De Gea
    Varela/McNair--Smalling--Blind--CBJ
    Schneiderlin--Schweinsteiger
    Januzaj--Pereira--Memphis
    Rooney

subs: Romero, McNair, Fellaini, Herrera, Lingard, Mata, Martial

I live in Derby - there's real belief here that you're for the taking. Derby can play good football - I have to admit I'm siding with the locals...

You guys have lost your aura

Scoring..sigh.. what sorcery is that? I'd be happy if we get 2 shots on target - even a couple of shots like the one Blind took today will suffice

I hope to see Memphis, Pereira, Januzaj and Keane getting some minutes.

Thank feck this is away from home and I don't have to stump up another £55 to watch utter dross. The only thing this will cost me is a Friday night.

I'm praying for a humiliating defeat. Whatever it takes to get LVG out ASAP so that we can possibly salvage a CL place.

3-0 Derby. He'll play some more kids I imagine.

Derby far more up for it than us (team can't even be arsed at Old Trafford nevermind away).

    Season over.

1-1. Replay at OT 1-0 by a Rooney pen in the last minute of injury time.

I'd love to watch us playing of friday but not with this form. Have no idea what will happen. Crazy times for the club.

No, all of them deserved to get a chance... Its not like our "star" players are doing something useful at the moment.
