Football Club Copenhagen (Danish: Football Club København), commonly known as FC København, FC Copenhagen, Copenhagen or simply FCK, is a professional Danish football club in Copenhagen, Denmark. Football Club Copenhagen is, in many ways, both an old and a new club. Even though the club was established in 1992, it is rooted in more than 100 years of club tradition. The club's first team represents two separate clubs: Kjøbenhavns Boldklub (continental Europe's oldest football club) founded in 1876 and Boldklubben 1903 founded in 1903. The two Copenhagen clubs merged their first teams to found Copenhagen on 1 July 1992.

F.C. Copenhagen has won 15 Danish Football Championships and 9 Danish Cups. In European football F.C. Copenhagen has reached the group stage of the UEFA Champions League and the group stage of the UEFA Europa League more times than any other Danish club and are the only Danish club who has reached the knockout stage of the Champions League. As of August 2020, Copenhagen are the highest ranked Scandinavian club in the UEFA club coefficient rankings list.

Since their foundation, FCK have developed a fierce rivalry with Brøndby IF. The Copenhagen Derby games between the two sides have attracted some of the biggest crowds in Danish football history. Copenhagen plays its matches at the Telia Parken, which also serves as the venue for the Danish national football team's matches.

We need to pump this lot.

    We won’t.

    Onana
    Dalot - Maguire - Varane - Regulion
    Amrabat - Eriksen
    Bruno - McTominay - Garnacho
    Hojlund

Fail to win and its ta ta bye bye CL for 2 years.

Our first home game since Sir Bobby's passing. The atmosphere should be special, and hopefully that spurs on a good performance.

We need to win this one without exception. City game I’m totally convinced we will lose comfortably but this game is more important.

Onana, Lindelof, Maguire, Varane, Dalot, Amrabat, Eriksen, Bruno, Rashford, Hojlund, Garnacho

I’m sure Antony will start though as the boss’s big signing. I really haven’t missed him when not playing and now back he just reminds me of why I don’t like him at all.

Was hoping Reguilon would play some part today so doubt he will start on Tuesday.

    2-1

Obviously 3 points or we're done in the group. Hoping that Reguilon is back for this.

Must win. Not expecting anything impressive from us until the new years really. The way this is going it's gonna be a while yet of struggling through, just hope come January we aren't out of the CL or the race for the CL.

This will be my first Man United game to attend since the 2-1 win over Barcelona in the Europa League in February so wish me luck!

Hopefully a good send off for Bobby and I'll be proud to be there to honour that great legend.

I assume that most people here do not know FC Copenhagen very well, so I have described the team here:

Kamil Grabara, No 1 - Goalkeeper: He is Polish and comes from Liverpool's youth department. He is a really good goalkeeper and is moving to Wolfsburg next season.
He is a bit of a character and very controversial. He sometimes makes very atypical and provocative statements in the press. For example, he stated that Galatasaray is a shit team (changed it to shit place ) and Fenerbache fans are much better. But as said - a really good keeper: Calm and makes saves that you do not expect.

Kevin Diks, No. 2 - Right back/central defender: Dutchman. He has been retrained to central defense from right back. I think he can be a weak point as he fluctuates somewhat in level. Not so tall (182 cm).

Denis Vavro, No.3 - Slovak: Central defense. He is a bit of a character and a leader type. He can play a bit hard at times, but doesn't have a good technique. On the other hand, he is very good at shooting from distance. One of the team's better players.

Christian Sørensen, No. 6 - Danish: Left back. He might not play, but I see him as their best left back. He is 31 years old and a bit of a "late bloomer". He has mostly played for smaller teams, but is doing well for Copenhagen. He is physically strong and makes good crosses. He is good at set pieces. An underrated player.

Viktor Claersson, No. 7 - Swede - central midfield/attacking midfield/forward. He might be their best player. He scores goals and good at getting into the box for crosses. He can do a little bit of everything: Heading, shoots well, creative. Unfortunately, he is often injured.

Mateo Tanlongo, No. 8 - Argentine - midfield/attacking midfield. He is on loan from Sporting, but doesn't play that much. I don't know him that well yet.

Diogo Gancalves, No. 9 - Portuguese - forward/attacking midfield. He joined from Benfica last season. Creative, technically good and scores goals. But he is unstable in performance. If he has a good day, he can become a problem.

Mohamed Elyounoussi, No. 10 - Norwegian - offensive midfield/winger. He came from Southampton last summer. He has become really good for FC Copenhagen. He is creative, quick and scores important goals. But also unstable in performance.

Jordan Larsson, No. 11 - Swede - forward/winger. Henrik Larsson's son. He is good technically, but disappears in many matches. Far from father's level. He scores his goals.
He will probably be their "number 9" in the match against us. But FC Copenhagen usually play with physically stronger attackers than him.

Andreas Cornelius, No. 14- Danish - striker. Has played 32 international matches for Denmark. As a youngster he was at Cardiff in the PL but was a failure. He was successful in Turkey where he became champions with Trabzonspor and became their top scorer. He then moved home to Copenhagen and was injured immediately. Since then he has had many injuries, but has just come back. Physically strong, good at headers, slow, smart. Will probably start on the bench due to lack of form.

Khouma Babacar, No. 15 - Senegalese - striker. Fails to show that he can be stable. Mostly, he's not good enough. Previously played for Fiorentina. Will probably not play.

Orri Oskarsson, No. 18 - Icelandic - Striker. 19 year old talent from their youth department. Got some games and scored some goals. An okay talent, but shouldn't be a big problem.

Elias Jelert, No. 19 - Danish - right back. 20-year-old talent from own youth ranks. He has become first choice as right back and has just made his debut in the national team this week.He is particularly good offensively with good crosses, technique and dribbling. But defensively he will be able to be outplayed and may have problems with Rashford. Got a red card against Galatasaray (the first game) and I don't know if he is suspended for that.

Nicolai Boilesen, No. 20 - Danish - central defender/left back: 21 international matches for Denmark and previously played for Ajax. I think he's injured. Very good player.

Peter Ankersen, No. 22 - Danish - right back. If Jelert is not playing, then Ankersen is. 25 international matches for Denmark and previously played in Genoa. He is skilled offensively. Good technically and makes quite a few assists. I think he is better than Jelert. Routined.

Birger Meling, No. 24 - Norwegian - left back. He came from Rennes this summer, where he played for 3 years. He is good offensively, but I think he is insecure defensively. I think he plays instead of Christian Sørensen, but I don't understand why. I see him as a possible weak point.

Valdemar Lund, No. 27 - Danish - central defender. 20-year-old talent from their own youth ranks. He has played really well for a period and had a small breakthrough at the club, but is having an unstable period now and will probably start on the bench. He is a fine talent, but he can become insecure.

Rasmus Falk - Danish, No. 33- central midfield/attacking midfield. You might remember him from his "Redondo" against us in 2020, when we played against FC Copenhagen last time. He was crazy good in that game. He is often good in big matches. He is their most creative player and could have had a much bigger career in a bigger league if he was more consistent.
Very, very good technique, good overview, creative, creates chances.
He is Christian Eriksen's childhood friend. They grew up in the same town close to each other and have known each other since they were very young. They are very close.

Roony Bardghji - Swede, No. 40 - winger. Is only 17 years old and made his debut for FC Copenhagen as a 15-year-old. He is from their own youth ranks. A great talent, which I have previously highlighted here. Unfortunately, he has stalled a bit in his development, but is still extremely good. Strong dribbler, shoots well, scores goals. I'm excited to see if he starts on or off the pitch.

Lukas Lerager - Danish, No. 12- central midfield. Has 10 international matches for Denmark. He works hard, tackles hard and can score important goals. Leader type. Important player for them.

Oscar Højlund - Danisk, No. 39. Central midfield - 18 years. Rasmus Højlund's brother. He has played some games at the start of the season and done well. But mostly sitting on the bench now as their midfield is strong. Looks like a fine talent.

Emil Højlund - Danish, No. 44 striker. 18 years. Rasmus Hølund`s brother. Doesn't play that much. Might have to switch away if he doesn't get more time. Looks like a fine talent.

Elias Achouri - Tunisian , No. 30- winger. Good player. Very technically strong. Strong dribbler and creates chances.

    Starting 11 against München:

    ----------------Grabara---------------

    Ankersen.Vavra.Diks.Meling.
    ............Lerager.Falk.............
    .................Goncalces...........
    Elyounoussi..................Achouri
    ....................Claesson.........

perfect chance to bench bruno, rashford, antony and see what their replacements can do but this is ETH we are talking about so expect those 3 names play from the start.

Like I say most match day threads, drop rashford and bruno and we will win this.

Play them and we will struggle.

Had no idea it was that easy mate - if only you were the manager, a huge blow for Utd fans worldwide

If Mctominay is anywhere near our starting lineup we deserved to get pumped again. Swear people just don't get it

Won't Happen But I'd like to see this:
    Onana
    Dalot-Varane-Maguire-Regulion
    -----------Amrabat-Eriksen------------
    -----Antony-Mount-Garnacho-----
    -----------------Hojlund-------------------
Bruno and Rashford need to be dropped/rested. This won't happen though.

This is the team I’d pick also. Far better at ball retention than yesterday’s! I think it will be the team but expect Bruno to be shoehorned in on the right instead of Antony

In a lot of your starting line ups, but is there any update on Reguilon?

Wasn't even on the bench last night was he.

Hopefully Anthony will be replaced by Pellistri as we desperately need a winger to get past the defender towards the line and some crosses in the box for Hojland. Think he will play Bruno there though.

Amrabat & Erikson looked good second half. He will play Mount as well.

If Regullion is fit then that will be great and might get more of a tune out of a woeful Rashford.

ETH doesn’t make a lot of changes though so probs more if the same.
