İstanbul Başakşehir Futbol Kulübü (better known as İstanbul Başakşehir or, due to sponsorship, Medipol Başakşehir) is a Turkish professional football club based in the Başakşehir district of Istanbul and playing in the Süper Lig. The club was founded in 1990 as ISKI SK, and they were owned by the municipality's water distribution company. ISKI SK competed in the Regional Amateur Football League in the 1990–91 season and were promoted to the TFF Second League. After promotion, the club's name changed to İstanbul Büyüksehir Belediyesi.

In 2014, the club was bought by new owners with alleged ties to the ruling Justice and Development Party. Its name was changed in June 2014 to İstanbul Başakşehir Futbol Kulübü. In 2020, Başakşehir were crowned champions of the Turkish Süper Lig for the first time in the club's history. They also became only the sixth club in the competition's history to win the league title and the fourth club from Istanbul to do so. İstanbul Başakşehir's rivals include Fenerbahçe, İstanbul Güngörenspor, Galatasaray, Trabzonspor, Istanbulspor AŞ and Beşiktaş. They play their home games at the Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium.

Games are coming thick and fast. And thank God because I need the WBA game wiped from my brain quickly. We really need to win this one otherwise our wins against PSG and Leipzig will have been for nothing.

Will probably be more of the same. Maybe Pogba will be back and be on his game or Ole decides to trust VdB

Goes without saying we need to win but I think we fecked our chances with that game in Turkey

Absolute must win. Would take a repeat of today even.

    Must win.

    Henderson
    AWB--Tuanzebe--Maguire--Telles
    VDB--McTominay--Fernandes
    Greenwood--Cavani--Martial

If Pogba is fit then start him ahead of Bruno

Probably just check the scoreline, even if we draw or lose at home, i'll be surprised if anyone is surprised.

I need a vacation and a ibuprofen after watching us this evening.
And i was home alone with two kids aged 2 and 4 all day.

Anybody stupid enough to find a stream to watch this kind of performance needs to get his head checked by a professional.

Ole should rotate here. It'll probably he an ugly win but it's a risk worth taking giving the amount of games we're playing.
It didn't work last time, why we would risk it again? We can't afford to lose this game otherwise it's Europa League for us.

    Henderson
    Wan Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Telles
    McTominay Van de Beek
    Greenwood Pogba Rashford
    Cavani

Is what I'd do here. Cavani needs to start especially.

    Henderson
    Wan Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Telles
    McTominay Van de Beek
    Greenwood Pogba Rashford
    Cavani

Is what I'd do here. Cavani needs to start especially.
I think Tuanzebe may replace Lindelof, as he played a lot last 10 days. Else its a good team which should win easily.

The Telles-Rashford-Cavani axis needs to get working quickly; I feel that will get us lots of goals this season once they are better used to each other.

Hope we win with an offside own goal after we gifted them the win in the previous game.

I’d be happy with this or something close.

Reckon Ole starts Axel though as he seems to be our champions league partner for Maguire.

I would say that but Tuanzebe really struggled last game next to Maguire against Istanbul, so I held back on that. Whole game was a mess but I didn't see any semblance of a partnership from Tuanzebe/Maguire.

This is a must win. Lose or draw, and we have undone all our good work

Want to see Poggers, VdB, Cavani and Greenwood starting this one.

    Henderson
    AWB Tuanzebe Maguire Williams
    McTominay Fred Pogba
    Greenwood VDB
    Cavani

Need to be rotated and fresh and fighting for starting XI at Southampton away:
    • Lindelof (back problem)
    • Telles (international travel)
    • Fernandes (several games in succession including Portugal)
    • Rashford (back problem / form)
    • Martial (form)

    Henderson
    AWB - Axel - Maguire - Telles
    McTominay - Pogba
    Greenwood - VdB - Rashford
    Cavani

    AWB-Tuanzebe-Maguire-Telles
    --------------McT---Pogba----------------
    ---Rashford----VDB---Martial---
    ------------------Cavani--------------------
    Rest Bruno and VNL.
I think we'll beat them easily this time around. 3-1.

    ......................De Gea
    AWB.....Lindelof..Maguire....Telles
    ..................Fred....VdB
    James...........Pogba......Martial

I’d give Bruno and Rashford a rest in this one, bring them off the bench if needed, and I don’t think we need two of Fred, McTom and Matic.

    Henderson
    Williams - Tuanzebe - Maguire - Telles

This is exactly how I was thinking. Those five players need a rest, while Tuanzebe, Williams, Henderson, VDB and Cavani need minutes. On the other hand, win this and we can rotate players later.

Hopefully we can scrape a draw from this and build on yesterday’s positive display

    We have to start bruno.

Or DVB in his place. Once we have the game wrapped up (if we do) then bring on Pogba.

The players better atone for what they stupidly let happen in the away game.

Then we need to beat Southampton on Sunday to start climbing up the PL table.

I would love it, absolutely love it if we smash these feckers for the pain they gave us in Turkey.

Still we will smash them 1-0 as usual after lots of huffing and puffing.

Surprised at the line-ups here. Bruno will surely play. Not only because it's a must win, but I'm sure he's one of those players who's never happy to sit on the bench. I don't think Ole will take this game for granted and leave him out.
