Arsenal Football Club (also known as The Gunners), are a professional football club based in Holloway, London. In late 1886, a gaggle of workers from the Woolwich Arsenal Armament Factory decided to form a football team. They called themselves Dial Square as a reference to the sundial atop the entrance to the factory. On December 11, 1886, Dial Square romped to a 6-0 victory over Eastern Wanderers; the first game in their initial guise. Shortly afterwards the name ‘Royal Arsenal’ was adopted. Today, Arsenal are one of the most successful and popular clubs in the history of the English league, with a trophy haul than includes 13 League titles, 12 FA Cups, and 2 League Cups.

When Henry Norris decided that Arsenal needed a new manager in the summer of 1925, he could never have anticipated the impact of his next appointment. After flirting with relegation in the previous season, Chapman set about reinventing the Club with almost immediate effect, and in a broader sense helped move football from the amateur era into a professional one. In his first season at Highbury, the new manager steered the Gunners to an FA Cup Quarter Final and a second-place finish in the First Division; the highest league placing in their history. And unlike many of his contemporaries in Britain, Chapman was a fan of the continental game and counted among his friends Hugo Meisl and Jimmy Hogan, coaches of the Austrian Wunderteam of the 1930s.

In the mid '90s, they appointed another visionary in Arsène Wenger with former vice-chairman David Dein bringing him to the club in 1996 - Dein actually wanted to appoint him a year earlier before Bruce Rioch but the old school board did not want a foreign manager - and the next 20 years have been a remarkable and unforgettable period in the club’s history - with Arsenal building a reputation for playing an attractive, streamlined style of football that rivals some of the best teams in Europe while winning three league titles and seven FA Cups and boasting the likes of Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, Patrick Vieira, Robert Pirès, Cesc Fàbregas and Robin Van Persie in their ranks.

The club plays its home games at the Emirates Stadium, and has a bitter sporting rivalry with neighbors Tottenham Hotspur in a match termed the North London Derby, apart from a competitive rivalry against the other major clubs of the Premier League, especially Manchester United - in an affair that peaked in the late 1990s to early 2000s period.

Need to properly capitalise on a sensational european display this time.

They've had our number lately, please let's destroy them!

Let’s stick to the diamond. I’d also like to see Cavani start.

    De Gea
    AWB - Lindelof - Maguire - Shaw
    McTominay
    Fred - Pogba
    Bruno
    Cavani - Rashford

This will be a real kick in the nuts if we don't see them off after beating 2 Champions League semi-finalists.

We need to kick start Premier League form. We have to beat them to show that we mean business in the league.

As long as Ole doesn't go negative, we have what it takes to wipe the floor with them.

Arsenal are a good unit these days. Will be difficult to break down and Arteta will make sure his players don't make the same mistakes RBL made today. It will be tough but I back us to win.

Considering the draw vs Chelsea and the upcoming tough match vs Everton, we need the 3 points in this one. One point only will be a little bit disappointing, beside Arsenal are probably a challenger for top 4 with us this season.

If he starts that game in 4231, i will turn tv off. First game in decade which i will miss. I swear.

Feels like Arsenal have a decent recent record against us. We really need to correct that here

I think Arteta will fall into the same mistakes Neiglsman made. He will try and control possession with high line, and we will finish them on counter (maybe even penalties).

Even with the win against RB, I m not sure about the result of this game. I m starting to believe some English teams are learning how to play against us, as lampard tactics showed last week.

Hope we carry on with the diamond! No more 4231, ultimately we literally have one actual winger in the squad and he’s madly out of form.

    Benefits of the diamond:
Puts our strikers in strikers positions.
    Keeps Bruno at 10
Gets the best out of Pogba
Can keep the work rate midfielders in the team still

Tough game. Arsenal are very defensive under Arteta and defensive teams are where we struggle.

I want to see the diamond again and I think it will be too much for Arsenal.

More like we have a midfield combination that can nullify possession style team. Fred and McT shown us this season we're not just about counter attacking side, contrary to popular belief.

Like PSG and Leipzig, we're so good at pressing now. That's why I think Arteta will struggle.

3 points would be so good so players can ride on the positive vibe that is getting from the team for two weeks now. But we can't be naive. Arsenal is a good team and every team is dangerous in Premier League this year. Home advantage don't exist like before now when fans aren't around. Team?

    Cavani (?)
    Rashford - Fernandes - ?
    McTominay - Fred
    Shaw - LIndelöf - Maguire - vanBissaka
    DeGea

I leave the right side open because there are few who could get in there. You got Greenwood, Pogba, deBeek, Mata, James. So you look. What do Arsenal have there and how are they expected to play? I think they will go for 5 at back so I'm expecting Tierney as wingback. Looking at ther midfielders and attackers they will probably try to close every space there is and go for longer balls and counter attacks. If we are brave enough we could put Pogba there. Big, strong guy that wouldn't require a game of sprints up and down. He could for the most part do what he does best. Finding spaces. It wouldn't be bad putting Mata there with his brilliant IQ. Greenwood? Sure, but if he is going to play I would play him as a front man. Although his is nowhere near Cavani in leading the line.

I think, except striker and right winger, places are pretty much filled.

This is a huge game for our season. We need to start winning in the PL and beating a team who are after top 4 will be huge .
