We aren't winning this, eriksen and hurrikane will have a field day

    De Gea
    Rafael Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Carrick Herrera
    Januzaj Mata Young
    Rooney
Please. Bring Rafael back, he hasn't deserved to be treated the way he was. Same with Mata. Drop Blind and Fellaini as neither have been in particularly good form (more so Blind, who was awful today I thought). We have to win this to repair the confidence after the blow from getting knocked out of the cup. If not, then it's bye bye top 4 indeed.

I'd field exactly the same 11. Todays loss actually gives me some hope that we will beat Spurs. If we lose bye bye CL, ciao LvG.

My mind already switched to this. Must win. God knows how.

I'm flying to England for this game, we better fecking play some decent football...

Hurrikane must be licking his chops.

    • Confidence low
    • Players with shit for brains
    • Fellaini on the pitch
    • Jones being Jones

    We'll hammer the bastards!

League game at home, think we will beat them and it's a must-win anyway. City, Pool and Chelsea games will be more interesting.

We need to bring Mata and Rafael back, he can play Valencia on the wing for Balance if he wants with Young on the left. Carrick and Blind in midfield with Mata allows us to be stable defensively and gives us a link between midfield and attack in Mata. we'll probably play Fellaini though and Januzaj on the wing instead of Di Maria.

I've a feeling that Spurs will be well up for this game, knowing that a draw won't be good enough for our top four chances and with the amazing luxury of a whole 8 days rest since our last match ... when our average rest time so far this season has probably been around 3.5 days.

    De Gea
    Rafael--Smalling--Rojo--Shaw
    Carrick--Herrera
    Januzaj--Mata--Young
    Rooney

    Probably Valencia right back though.

    Januzaj Mata Young

    I guess.

    De Gea
    Valencia - Smalling - Rojo - Shaw
    Herrera - Carrick
    Januzaj - Mata - Young
    Rooney

Valencia shouldn't be dropped, in my opinion. Apart from silly mistake, he did well against Arsenal.

How about we put Rafael at RB and replace Januzaj with Valencia

squeaky bum time. Cliches abound but I think that 'every game from now to the end is a cup final' is probably most appropriate. I'm not hopeful.

If we had only lost because of the defensive feck ups and not added the mental capitulation on top, I'd think we could bounce back well in this match. Now, looks doubtful. Expecting us to struggle against their midfield and Kane is in better form than any player we've faced in the last few months.

Valencia had a good game (offensively) so wouldn't it be wise to just put him in an offensive position? i mean he is an offensive player after all

Because playing right back and right wing are two different jobs. Valencia is better overlapping and receiving the ball for a cross, rather than taking on players and crossing it.

He would do a better job than Januzaj though, how many failed attempts does it take for Januzaj to beat 1 man? at least for Valencia his "hit and run" - although predictable, doesn't get intercepted and he is stronger than most defenders, i can't say the same about 'twinkle toes'.

    ------------------------ De Gea
    -------------------Jones--Rojo--Smalling
    -----Valencia---Carrick----Rooney----Blind----Young
    ---------------------Falcao------Fellaini

Considering whenever we play a lineup everyone wants to see we lose, I say we go for this.
