Leonardo Ulloa: Been very much Leicester's key player, as well as their record signing with three goals in four league appearances so far. If we want to get seven points from nine against the three promoted teams, we will need to stop this player scoring for sure.

Daley Blind: And this is the player who will be key for us. For too long our midfield has been lacklustre, but the game against QPR showed an assured performance from the Dutchman. Di Maria won Man of the Match and got all the plaudits, but I think Blind will be very important for us.

Hope it's a Falcao-Rooney front two and Shaw starts.

Can you name and shame the person who predicted 4-0 to Leicester.

    ---------De Gea--------
    Rafael Blackett Rojo Shaw
    ----------Blind----------
    ----Herrera--Di Maria----
    ----------Mata----------
    -----Rooney--Falcao-----

Leicester 1:3 Man United (Rooney, Mata, Falcao)

    ---------------De Gea---------------
    Rafael---Evans-----Rojo------Shaw
    ----------------Blind-----------------
    ---------Herrera----Di Maria--------
    ----------------Mata-----------------
    ---------Rooney-----Falcao---------

Subs: Lindegaard, Blackett, Valencia, Fletcher, Januzaj, Wilson, Van Persie.

For the first time in ages it feels like we have an obvious first 11!

    DDG

    Rafael
    Evans
    Rojo
    Shaw

    Blind
    Herrera
    Di Maria
    Mata

    Rooney
    Falcao

Same as today, except maybe Rojo at centre back and Shaw at LB. Wouldn't mind seeing Falcao start too but as long as it's the same system I'll be happy.

After I saw how calm and concise we can be with our play, feeling confident that we'll give them a twatting.

    ---------------De Gea---------------
    Rafael---Evans-----Rojo------Shaw
    ----------------Blind-----------------
    ---------Herrera----Di Maria--------
    ----------------Mata-----------------
    ---------Rooney-----Falcao---------

Worldbeater squad once they gel. 3-0 us, not as high scoring as today, but much of the same performance. Nothing more than a training exercise for this team. It'll be a step towards getting this team to bond.

Judging by the score poll there are lots of people underestimating Leicester here.

    De Gea
    Rafael Evans Rojo Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera Di Maria
    Mata
    Rooney Falcao
Wouldn't be surprised if we played the same 11 as today with RvP in for Falcao and Blackett in defence. Long term, put Jones in the above formation instead of Evans and that's our strongest 11 IMO. Anyways, think we'll get a run of wins going. Sucks that we'll have to wait a full week between games all season without european football though.

Not really. Leicester will comfortably survive this season. However we'll beat them, for the first time in 2 years we've looked like United. The old United. And even 50% of the old United is too much for a freshly promoted teams.

Doesn't mean they won't give us headaches.

As many have already said, this please.

    ---------------De Gea---------------
    Rafael---Evans-----Rojo------Shaw
    ----------------Blind-----------------
    ---------Herrera----Di Maria--------
    ----------------Mata-----------------
    ---------Rooney-----Falcao---------

Leicester away will not be as easy as QPR, but its definitely winnable.. Shaw in for Blackett and Falcao for RvP

If the startin 11 will be the same as against QPR then I think 0-5 to United is the end result

Let's put a few convincing results together so we put the fear factor back when we start playing the tougher opposition starting the end of October. Let them be afraid of us:devil:
We should be aiming to win every game until Chelsea come to our place in late October, so we have the momentum to take them. That's when title challenges start.

Leicester are very much playing with a never say die attitude this season, wont nearly be as one way traffic as seen at ot today, but think we will still nick this one. 2-3 Mata, Blind & Valencia to get on score sheet ;)

Arsenal and Chelsea to an extent struggled against this lot. Reckon it'll be a 2-1 win.

Probably the same team. The only players I see potentially getting dropped are:

Evans - Having very mixed form at the moment. A couple of under-hit passes today that could have caused trouble, while his last ditch clearance played a big part in us pushing on to win the game comfortably.
Blackett - Hasn't really put a foot wrong yet so it could be a bit unfair, other than letting a ball run in today's game that I think he could have dealt with easily.
van Persie - If Falcao is to come in, it has to be for RvP right now. Rooney won't be dropped and has at least recently scored, while Mata's goal-scoring form is great over the last 10 games.

I only list Evans and Blackett as Shaw may come into the side to play at Left Back as first choice soon and I think Rojo will move to CB and stay in the side, meaning one of those two has to suffer. I also think Jones and Smalling will be the preferred partners to Rojo when fit, so it's likely that they could both find themselves out of the starting line-up in the coming weeks even if they play reasonably well.

    de Gea
    Rafael Evans Rojo Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera Di Maria
    Mata
    Falcao Rooney
    --
Lindegaard; Blackett; Valencia, Fletcher, Pereira Januzaj; van Persie

Smalling may get a look in, but he's the only other player I can see making the 18.

I said 4-0 for QPR and it came about, I reckon this game will be a lot tougher, but still a 1-3 victory.

    Early Predicted Lineup:

    _________________________________________________________

    1. De Gea

    2. Rafael 6. Evans 42. Blackett 5. Rojo

    17. Blind
    21. Herrera 7. Di Maria
    8. Mata

    9. Falcao 10. Rooney

    __________________________________________________________

    Bench:
    13. Lindegaard, 12. Smalling, 3. Shaw, 25. Valencia, 24. Fletcher, 11. Januzaj, 20. Van Persie

    Predicted Score:
Leicester 1-3 Man Utd (Falcao X2, Di Maria)

Oddly I reckon Leicester City will provide more of a threat to us compared to QPR so this wont be a walk in the park. As long as we don't see anymore injuries I assume we will go with a similar squad, maybe start Falcao and swap Evans with Rojo and put Shaw in at LB.

However saying that its also important to keep the same squad together so they can get used to each other's playing styles.

Anyway, I hope we can use this performance and back it up with another win to get some momentum going, 2-1 win for United.

If we score early I could see a similar confident performance, around 3-1, but I expect 2-1.
If Leicester score first though I'll be pretty worried and be surprised if we win

Would go with the same team, except maybe one change which could see Shaw starting in place of Blackett but the kid really deserves his place. So I'd go with same team, and introduce Falcao from the bench again.

Similar team with maybe Shaw and Falcao coming in.

Any chance of Jones or Smalling being back?

    we'll win 0-3 or 0-4.

Same as today, except Shaw for Blackett and Falcao for Van Persie

This no Europe thing is really gonna piss me off this year. Am so used to watching us play mid week.

Conversely, it really puts pressure on every single squad player to take their opportunities when they get them, because of the lack of games and moreso, the importance of making a good impression on a ruthless new boss who just kicked out 15+ players!

This is what I'd like to see:

    1. De Gea

    2. Rafael 5. Rojo 42. Blackett 3. Shaw

    17. Blind
    21. Herrera 7. Di Maria
    8. Mata

    9. Falcao 10. Rooney

Evans is not good enough. I'd like RVP to replace Mata around 60 min.

Score: 1-4 Rooney, Falcao, Herrera, Di Maria

Nothing odd about it, they've been quite good.

    De Gea
    Rafael - Evans - Rojo - Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera - Di Maria
    Mata
    Van Persie - Rooney

    Lindegaard - Smalling - Valencia - Carrick - Fletcher - Januzaj - Falcao

Will be much much tougher than today. They've started the season very well. Our new signings' lack of time together could show here.

Much tougher game but we have our scoring boots on again reckon 2-1 or 3-1.

Continuity of selection and performance is the key.

Same team, unless you substitute one of the CB's for Rojo and play Shaw at LB.

Not bothered if it's Rojo or Blackett at CB but I want Shaw to start.
