I'm United, i've lost between 8 and 10 million a month, and i'm scared to the point im selling some high-value backup players for what I bought them for... It's not even stuff that effects me, it's the stuff Fergie did before I came into town.

I made one big signing and it seems like im falling into oblivion losing money.

I just remember last time i've had a team in negative balance, it was 10 points deducted.
 
As United, knocking down the wage bill plus success seems to work for me, although I've never turned a profit in a month yet (except for the months where prize money and sponsorship flies in).

I've jettisoned about £40m worth of talent I think in 2 seasons, and not really bought too many players in return.
 
Ay, but my balance is down to 2 million, with about 15 coming in from sales in January (I hope) but that doesn't seem to be nearly enough.

I hope the Glazers find it nice to write this off, I have a feeling my balance will be well in red
 
Right well, I've had a bit of a turn up for the books. Having been in dire straights last night, I decided to go on holiday till January (not saving the game) so I could see just how badly the season would pan out. As it turns out, my Assistant manager (None other then our very own Paul McGuinness) has guided the team to 11th :eek: It seems like I'm good at buying the talent while he's a tactical genius :lol:
 
This is seriously weird, sim the match = usually a win (even beating teams like United), play the match = defeat. no matter who to, no matter how many shots or possesion I have.

Thats basically exactly what I'm doing at the moment. And its working brilliantly.

It wasnt planned or anything, but it seems silly for me to change a winning formula :lol: I'd suggest getting a top quality Assistant in first, I really reccomend Paul McGuinness, he's working wonders for me :D
 
One of these days I'm going to look at the stats from all the fixtures I've played in this save and work out how many games I've won whilst been outplayed, and how many games I've lost whilst outplaying my opposition. Something tells me the latter is going to be a fecking lot.

Yeah, injuries and bans both seem to increase for some reason.

I think the simulation of fixtures whilst you are on holiday is definitely broken.

Not surprising. I guess his stats are good where it matters - and absolutely shite where they don't so it works out well.

He's currently demolishing the Swiss league along with Alex Frei for me in my second season. That's nothing astounding, but he's played quite well in the Champions League too.

Beckham (start of 2nd season), Gallas (start of 3rd season), Diego Cavalieri (start of 4th season, possibly 5th)

Always on the lookout for more.

The opposite just happened to me in a match against Chelsea...went down 2-1, then battered their goal for about 50 minutes, pulled back to 2-2 and looked like the team who was going to win it, then that cnut Drogba stole a goal in stoppage time :mad:

I was Chelsea and cech was injured, Ross Turnbull is incredible on this game, about level with cech!

It was mikel that scored ivanovic put in a shite cross from a free kick mikel fell over and knocked it in :lol:

How is Carl Valeri in FM2010? I have a bit of extra money that I'm considering throwing in his direction to come and get him to play for Southampton.

Thats Diego Valeri, Sharky.

I thought the same thing when I first saw his name. I thought, "could it be?" It wasn't. If it were, you would hear Les and Fozzie crowing from the eastern states.

Has anybody bought Ribery in there FM2010 , Playing as United I paid £38 mil for him , fans were excited and board was delighted.
feck me he was a waste of time always played with no confidence and never got above 6.7 even when he scored he was lacking confidence.
In the end he was causing upset in the dressing room , claiming I spoke to the team badly ,I dont even do that when we get beat.
In the end had to sell him for £25 mil.

Coincidence, i just bought him :lol:

I paid 30m and i thought it was superb business as he is probably the best left winger in the game for the time being atleast. I hope he doesn't turn out like that in my game as i still have Evra and Gourcuff to help him settle him in anyway.

He is one of the best in the game , even at the press metting after I signed him all I did was prasie him and said Evra was there to helphim , feck me he said he was disapointed with me.
I even gave him a month to go home and sort his head out but never worked.
Good Luck with him.

Dzeko is my best buy paid about 12 mil I think maybe not even that ,but scores and playes way better than Rooney or Berba.
 
I got Ribery on a free, he made me give him £135k a week, never played well. Broke his leg twice and by the time he was 29 he stats dropped hugely and he'd become rubbish in comparison to Vargas. I then sold him for £6m, and my fans responded, as always, by saying it was an 'abberation' to let him go given his recent performances. He never played more than 20 games a season for me and never got a higher average rating than 6.8...
 
Signed him on a free and he started out a bit poorly if I'm being honest. BUT, things have started picking up since he scored a late winner against Chelsea and now he's in great form and seems to be quite happy. Just gotta keep giving him games. Might help that I have Evra, Gourcuff, and Frey, mind.

I gave him lots of games only time he was missing was when i sent him home ,homesick.
He then moaned he was not getting the games
 
Anyone playing with United, what to do with Neville, Giggs and Scholes? They're old and whilst still perform reasonably well when called upon, I'd like to use younger players, but I don't want to let them go and sign for another club. How much football have they left in them?

Half of the 1st eleven.


After realising this, I sold Gignac, Ribery and Evra....:lol:
 
Bought this lad for £1.5 million from Oxford at the start of the season...

He's scored 18 in 28 PL games (22 in 32 overall) and is favourite to win footballer of the year. A good piece of business if I may say so myself. His mate, Mark Mason (also a £1.5 mil buy from Oxford) is wanted by Liverpool, but is pissed off that i turned the bid down :(

Giggs and Scholes are useful for a couple of years - Giggs has bags of creativity and can pick out really nice passes, while Scholes is a decent passer as long as you give him protection (i.e. Fletcher/Anderson in a more defensive role). Neville never really got many games for me because Rafael and Brown were excellent.

I had to let all three of them leave after the first season ended :( It was mainly due to the wage bill though but my average age of the squad went down to 23 :D

I still have Scholes in my third season. The other two fecked off in the SUmmer. In tough games I put him as a deep-lying playmaker flanked by two ball winners, Pirlo style. He's still very useful for that
 
The fans on this game are so fecking annoyingly stupid and retarded.

I'm 10th with Birmingham and they're STILL not happy. cnuts!!!
