Television Was the ending to Lost really THAT bad? | Yes

Just finished it. Was a slog in many parts. Skipped a couple episodes much against the strong advice of the lost reddit forum where they'll all basically in a massive echo chamber. Will say though that the ending wasn't nearly as bad as I had expected.
They obviously all weren't in purgatory the *whole* time.
How does anyone come to that conclusion watching that finale.
If anything, they made it too much of a crowd pleaser with this theoretical happy ending conjured out of thin air in a storyline that otherwise shouldn't have had one.
Was a decent show but that's about it. If it were 10 episode long seasons like they have now, could've been much much punchier.
The finale was good fun but the issue was the final season itself. They added elements that weren't needed like the random people who were on the island all that time but not seen until then.

The show was a lot about the mystery and characters and made for a week to week viewing so the longer season episodes worked for it (though you of course also feel a bit of the filler stuff week to week). However the discussion was a big part of the show (at uni, at work, online etc)

I enjoyed lost at the time but how the feck do you lot remember so much detail from so long ago? All I remember is that it was very silly fun, and then it ended with a not hateful ending, about as good an ending as could be expected with so many story arcs and weird stuff that had to be explained/ignored.

I rewatched it all two months ago

Like who the feck was that japanese dude with the nerdy american sidekick . The air hostess was part of them too and she had grown kids...like what?
