Invective aside, I really do wonder has happened to Jadon Sancho. There is nothing left to his game. I'm not sure he would even start for most USL clubs.

Looks to me like he lost any passion he might have had for the game, for whatever reason. He has talent. There is a good player in there. But as long as he can't be bothered to put in the work, we won't ever see that player again.Invective aside, I really do wonder has happened to Jadon Sancho. There is nothing left to his game. Of course there are numerous reasons for his dip in form, but I really just struggle to see how he has the physical attributes to be an effective attacker in the Premier League.Invective aside, I really do wonder has happened to Jadon Sancho. I think it’ll be closer to 20m than 24. If the penalty is the rumoured 10m to get no player, vs 20 to get said player, surely they just take the player. He isn’t absolutely dogshit or anything, he’s still a serviceable player.I imagine this is all being hyped up by the media and he will be a Chelsea player permanently but if the option was spending a few million not to have Jadon Sancho or £24m plus his wages to have Sancho then I'd take the penalty to feck him off. He's utter dogshit and seems to also just be a massive twat who doesn't realise how far he's fallen.
I think he could have what it takes. He might not be incredibly pacy, but he is quick. Add a bit of muscle and he should be fine. But that would demand effort from him. And for whatever reason, he can’t or doesn’t want to put in that effort.Of course there are numerous reasons for his dip in form, but I really just struggle to see how he has the physical attributes to be an effective attacker in the Premier League.

Pretty sure we won't be getting £20m+. If there's a way out they'll take it.
The fact is we’ve only ever seen his top level in the bundesliga, he’s never been able to cut it in the PL. I think the style of your league just suited him.Looks to me like he lost any passion he might have had for the game, for whatever reason. He has talent. There is a good player in there. Calling it a win-win is debatable. If they buy out he becomes our problem again and with just a year on his contract, nobody will pay his full wages and we’ll struggle to get 15m for him IMO.I mean surely the price for not signing him is more than the price it would’ve cost them to buy him…….I know we were run by idiots for awhile but even the most clueless person could see that. Chelsea surely need to pay us more than 20 million as a fee to return him if not going through with the deal.
Either way we win it’s either get the buy out money or get more money.

then why is the local facebook group always full of messages about how people aren’t picking up their sanchos when they take their dog for a walk?I think it’ll be closer to 20m than 24. You're still going on about Ten Hag in a thread about Sancho
That doesn't hold up, because he looked every bit as uninspiring during his second stint at Dortmund as he did for you and is now with Chelsea. I'm not going to argue that the Prem isn't more physical. It is. So of course he would have to put in more effort to blossom there. But that stuff about the Bundesliga suiting him doesn't make sense. Otherwise he should have been good the second time around. He wasn't.The fact is we’ve only ever seen his top level in the bundesliga, he’s never been able to cut it in the PL. You are right. But maybe experiencing the PL in general (or more specifically United) killed his joy for the game overall. That could have happened due to the preferred styles in the two leagues. So I don't think it has to be completely wrong what @2 man midfield said. That doesn't hold up, because he looked every bit as uninspiring during his second stint at Dortmund as he did for you and is now with Chelsea. I think it suited him more than the PL. Every Dortmund highlights package you see of his first spell, it’s typically him and one other yellow shirt running full pelt at a 2 man back line the opponent left back in their own half. It just seemed a lot more gung ho.That doesn't hold up, because he looked every bit as uninspiring during his second stint at Dortmund as he did for you and is now with Chelsea. seems he was mostly decent except for a few CL games were he was great(atletico second leg, PSG both legs, final)I didn’t watch him in his second spell, I thought the consensus was he did ok though? He can’t have done badly if he was “raw dogging Nuno Mendes” or whatever it was.
He had a single good game against PSG. Besides that he did nothing impressive. It was ok for a player who didn't train with a team for a long time, but showed no real signs of improvement. Calling that "ok" is generous. It at least wasn't enough for Dortmund to keep him.I think it suited him more than the PL. I assumed Dortmund didn’t sign him because they never spend money. Not because they didn’t want him.He had a single good game against PSG. Besides that he did nothing impressive. I can't even recall his best game. What would it have been?He never had a game for Utd above a 7/10. It is not as if he was inconsistent, some great games, some bad, he was consistently underwhelming, and limited.
I genuinely have no idea. He's been that forgettable.I can't even recall his best game. What would it have been?
Liverpool probably but just remember his goalI can't even recall his best game. What would it have been?
They actually spend quite a lot. They bought players for 90m Euros (sold for 60m) ahead of this season, Maxi Beier with 28.5m being the most expensive new signing. As he plays more or less the same position they could have spend that on Sancho. They didn't even try.I assumed Dortmund didn’t sign him because they never spend money. Not because they didn’t want him.
If Ornstein has come out and said it's a possibility then it's probably true. We just have to hope that the penalty clause is significant enough that we don't lose out too much financially. You'd hope it covers most of the fee otherwise there's no real disincentive to pull out of an obligation to buy - that is maybe a possibility if Chelsea have realised they don't fancy sticking him on one of their trademark 7 year contracts. The longer this speculation about termination goes on without someone from Chelsea coming out and quashing it then the more truth there is in it.
He won’t be coming back into Amorim’s squad so it’s a headache for the likes of Wilcox to resolve.
Italy may be a better place for Sancho as EPL too quick for him.
It will have been something Chelsea wanted when they were negotiating the terms with United.I don’t really understand this concept that they can pay a penalty in order to avoid buying him, wasn’t it a total obligation to buy him? Why would we accept 10-15m when we would be guaranteed to get 30m when they buy him as they are obliged to?
