Quite exciting. Seems we're finally getting competent people into the club. My expectations for this window have suitably been raised.

Since that poster doubted Ornstein’s credibility he’s gone on to have about 5 different exclusives, the Ornacle never rests.
Why would anyone doubt Ornstein's credibility? He's the best football journalist out there and it isn't close. The amount of stories he's broken over the years is amazing.

I wonder if the short term aspect of this is that we have another Head of Recruitment lined up (Freedman?) but it isn’t the right time personally or professionally for them at the moment.

Can anyone explain the different roles / responsibilities for Berrada, Wilcox, Ashworth and Vivell?

Losing track a bit here.

Ooooooh potentially brilliant addition.

I think Ashworth will be in charge of all the footballing staff, the connector between the board and the staff. The Technical Director's remit (Wilcox) is the footballing vision/direction of the club. There's overalp between these positions, but Ashworth is senior to Wilcox, and senior to Ashworth is Berrada who will also be charged with the commercial side of things. The new recruit Vivell is, like Wilcox, charged with player recruitment, but exclusively so.

It is, so many new roles and appointments yet we seem to wait on the Dan fella to move a pencil.
What’s the rush? Why not wait until the actual decision makers are in before making the decision? Rather that and make a correct one than rush into a judgement before they can legally work for us and have a say.

Why short term?
Probably because they have someone lined up from another club that can't be brought to the club yet. Maybe someone like Lee Dykes from Brentford?

And let's not forget Vivell was out of work and things made sense for now until someone else takes up the role.

So he will have access to all our transfer targets which he can bring to another club if we have no intention of keeping in the long term

Let’s hope it’d be worth it.

There are not many footballers (worth signing) in the world that the top clubs in top leagues are not aware of.

So have we had the obligatory list of players he discovered at the Red Bull clubs yet? Has to be a few stand outs surely?

Just having a bunch of people who seem well regarded within football in the jobs where we have had bankers for years makes me smile.
We've only ever had one banker in a football related role and that was Judge. Every other appointment outside of CEO has been someone who was in football.

Ed Woodward came from JP Morgans where he was an investment banker.

What’s happened to the heritage of this club? I’m used to a good solid few months of monitoring before anything happens. This whole getting things done quickly is crazy
They’ll be repairing the fax machines at this rate if someone doesn’t step in and stamp some sense into things.
