Urgh what’s the point. It’s Marseille so it’s going to be for peanuts. Guarantee if they unearth the next big French talent they’ll demand £100m+ from us and then sell him to city for £12m

Just sell him to someone with money ffs

I think the best option is to stick in a sell on clause for when he inevitably explodes and someone bigger decides to take the risk.

Might aswel keep him instead of selling him for peanuts. We actually are in dire need for some players and backups.
We are not in dire need of players, just top quality. Even ignored the massive baggage he comes with (which is impossible to ignore in itself), I'm not even sure he's worth all that from a sporting perspective. Also if both the club and the player are ready for his return.

Any buyer knows we don’t want him back in the club, they have good leverage for a deal. Sticking him in the reserves isn’t going to increase his value either. We’re going to get lowballed no matter what, so we absolutely must include a sell-on clause.

Time will pass, if he did great somewhere like Marseille for a couple years then a club in Italy or Spain might feel the backlash would be much less if they signed him for big money after a few great seasons there. Plus he's just not that great an asset as a footballer right now talented as he is, he didn't exactly set Spain alight even if he did OK.

The club don’t want the trouble that it would bring. Decision has been made, he’s leaving one way or another
I could see him training with us if he isn’t sold begin of July at the start of pre-season, they will hold out for a big offer I guess. If there isn’t a big backlash on him starting pre-season they will look at it from week to week, if they can’t get the big offer I can see a situation develop where there is a change he will stay if they think they can get away with it without a lot of trouble. I hope he’s sold before then, opinions of the fanbase on this are so divided, we will get back to all the old arguments and discussions, it is tiresome.

If he's training with us he'll be here next season.
Good, I'm tired of all the posturing when he's already been playing football elsewhere and everyone involved has moved on. Bring him back and ignore all the fragile noise. Especially from the likes of Rachel Riley who will be happy to speak out against Greenwood playing for United but then offer all sorts of bs platitidues as to why killing 38,000 people in Gaza is perfectly fine.

Bring him back for good....

He's married and has a kid with her. Guarantee she wants him back here more than anyone so she doesn't have to go live in a foreign country and can stay near her family/friends.

If he starts training with us, guarantee ETH will start using him as our RW over Antony and will be 1000% against the sale when he compares him to our current forwards.

People with money will buy non toxic footballers. When you're selling shoddy goods that everyone knows are shoddy you are compromised.
Yeah but Marseille? At least sell to a club who have some money. Their record signing of all time was about £25m. They’re probably expecting to pay about £15m. For a player they’ll likely sell for triple that in a couple of years

I have no idea either, yet.

I'd say that's not just Marseille. Anyway, we won't sell to Marseille for 15 if someone else is offering 45.

I think we'll get it done before pre-season. Cannot have him come back.

Probably £20m or so to a Spanish side, with a few add-ons and/or a respectable sell-on clause. People will moan about the fee but that's about all you're going to get, he's removed any possibility of an English side (where all the money is) by being a rapey bastard, and he's no longer good enough or worth the PR hassle for one of the elite European teams.

Feck no. He can feck off along with Sancho.

They can continue their careers elsewhere, had their chance at Utd and fecked it up. Get rid.

15-20m is as good as we are going to get, need to get him sold before pre season starts as we all know club don’t want him back and he’ll never play for us again but they will have to let him train if he hasn’t been sold.

If he wants Marseille and they give us 20m€ we should tack on a sell on clause and close this chapter once and for all.

Remember during the season when certain posters were expecting fees of up to fifty million?
There are also posters on here who think we can get 40m for legless Casemiro and a technically deficient McTominay. Sales valuations are not a strong point on the cafe.

Yeah wicked idea

Then we can’t sign the players we want because we don’t have enough money

Hold out for the max we can get, obviously. Give no shits what the player prefers
