This team is fecking shite. All talk before the game, look at that bullshit performance they put in. Rice needs to wind his fecking neck in. World class? Hilarious. Closer to McTominay than he is to Kroos.
 
Slovenia look like they could get a goal on the counter. They're doing pretty well all things considered. England have the majority of possession as you'd expect but not created much
 
Tbf I think people are being unfair to England in this game. They are playing way better compared with the first 2 games and it feels like it's a matter of time 'till they score.
 
Nervy first 10 or so minutes but we’ve grown into the game. It’s still not what we want from the team in terms of level of performance however.

If England was a completely new country and Southgate had just gotten the job it'd be understandable, but... literally the oldest national team in the world and Southgate has been in the job for longer than every other manager in the entire tournament bar fellow fun drain Deschamps.
 
This reminds me of the 2010 World Cup so much. Kane is bad as Rooney in general play and England completely lacklustre all over the pitch.

Scraped past Slovenia in the last group match in that tournament aswell.
 
No goals conceded = job done so far in Safegate’s head. No chance he’ll change it at HT.

Seeing all the stuff that’s been said about Gallagher the last day and a half, yeah I’d rather keep Mainoo as far away from Southgate football as possible if I was a United fan.
 
Genuine question, isn't Kalvin Philips a defensive minded player? Why does Southgate say he's missing a player like that?
 
Don't really get the negativity tbh. Gallagher would not be my first choice, but it's an infinite upgrade on TAA, which was nothing short of plain stupidity. No wonder we have better shape. Fully expect Southgate to feck it up if it's 0-0 on 75 minutes by making wholesale changes and disrupting the shape of the team.
 
It's just embarrassing watching this Gareth Southgate managed team.

Maybe they're over hyped as individuals, maybe they play with great foreign players at club level, whatever...but there's no excuse for this level of atrocious performance against the rank of team we've been playing so far.
 
We were actually pretty decent the last 10 mins or so of the half .
 
Every England game has been completely awful to watch. I can't wait for the games against Italy and Belgium. Blockbuster entertainment.
