Journalists are really taking a punt and hoping it comes off.. how can you say in the next days.. in the same sentence say next hours.

Fabrizio just loves covering his own arse, its clear none of them know. They keep saying coming days and hoping it will happen.

Well they can. And it certainly wouldn't make business sense to extend it and potentially give yourself a big fee to pay if you still decide to sack after a season when you could've just let him go for free!

And to counter the argument that he would be undermined without doing this is the argument that it would be putting the pressure on him to succeed or know he's gone with no payout.

(To clarify I don't agree with all the flirting we've been doing with other managers, I wish we'd just stuck with ETH once we knew McKenna was unavailable (I was unsure if now is too early for him anyway) and then give ETH a less dick-ish ultimatum of improving big time next season or he's gone)
That's not a counter argument. He most likely would be as the players will know he is leaving at the end of the season and undermine his authority. Look at what happened to Rangnick, the players tried for a mere 45 minutes in his regime and decided to go through the motions for the rest of it.

He could go get another job at the end of his contract if we don't extend his contract. Payout is not a reward for failure.

I've read this 4 times

Can someone translate?
What he is trying to say is not wrong. He means that would ETH want to continue after INEOS have talked to half the world about the job and in process taken forever.

The problem is he has written it in 'Moronic' and it comes across as a tweet from some lowly educated teenager.

Why would you review and leave the current manager in limbo if you dont plan on sacking him.

Surely, Ten hag will be thinking.. I want clarity and assurances, he has said numerous times, he has not been given those.

All that, including newspaper reports suggest they are looking at other managers.

SJR has never once acknowledged the existence of Ten Hag, from every interview to his congratulating message.

He also just gave him a handshake post FA cup final when he was hugging Pep.
Well, it would pretty much depend on if they're actually reviewing him with the potential view of sacking him this summer, wouldn't it? Maybe they're just doing a review of the extents of the situation at the club in order to decide what they should start changing first, feck if i know.

They've had ample time to review this season, from a sporting perspective there's no need to wait until the FA cup final in order to determine if the manager is here next season or if he should be sacked instantly. The outcome of the final doesn't change the fundamentals and/or if they think he's the right man for their project. The report that actually made a bit of sense was that he was getting sacked after the match, but that turned out to be miles off. Then we've more or less had two weeks of complete guesswork in relation to reviews and when Ten-Hag will find out about his future. "Soon", "Days", "Hours"

This is the problem when you have a board that provide no clarity. Like you say, they have had months before the FA cup final and 2 weeks since, yet they have not provided any support towards the manager.

So when you look at that, they clearly dont support him, otherwise they would have said Ten Hag is our manager, the fact that they have completely ignored Ten Hag since they have come in, shows he is not their man.

If your only conclusion is that this shows he's clearly not their man, why haven't they just sacked him yet.

He's a parody at this point.
I wish he'd be honest and say he has no idea in what is going on.
It's worth flagging he did not write this tweet. He probably addressed the situation as part of his normal agenda of youtube videos and just said no update, wel find out in the next hours or days.

It's not tweet worthy for him, there's no update. But an aggregator has tweeted it.

Apparently it is attracting enough attention to get shared in this thread, and many others I'd imagine.
It's interesting though that before FA Cup everyone seemed certain ETH will get the sack after the game. Now it's super quiet again and those journalists know as much as any other person.

He's not quite covered his bases as we can't rule out INEOS travelling back to the past.
Well, if we want to be exact, a decision will be made only in the present, no other time, it's just a concept.
You’re both being ridiculous time is just a measure of entropy and therefore Ten Hag and all future managers are already sacked or in the process of being sacked, whether they accept this or not, it’s something none of them can ever escape the reality of.

INEOS have realised there is no point making any appointments as to fight against entropy is a fools errand and so they’ve resigned themselves, the fans and everyone around Manchester to the inevitability of impending nothingness.

Happy Monday.

Think it's pretty obvious that the media know Sweet F*#k All at this stage!

It's embarrassing to see their guesswork fall to pieces every time during this abysmal saga.

I just pray it's not Southgate, dear lord don't let that happen.

Ah thanks. I never would have guessed that was what he was saying

Its funny how INEOS came in and barked alot. "We will decide on the playstyle"... proceed to interview managers who all have different play styles.

So what they say and do is a complete different thing. Its almost as if they will decide on the playstyle depending on who they chose as manager... so no different to the Glazers.
Supposedly the manager will have to coach the playstyle outlined by the technical director. This can be done by any manager who is willing to do so.
