Where is this from?

“The role is so important that its one of the rare moments were the Glazers said no to INEOS. In fact the latter wanted Blanc but that was shot down by the Glazers who wanted someone who represented both parties. “
It was circulating in the media during that time. At the time the talk was that INEOS was given control over football with the Glazers retaining control over the business side. Thus the CEO (who covers both aspects) had to come from both sides

That's not the reason I'm saying that to them, they've been pushing ITK bullshit for weeks in here about ETH and have been caught out, but yet is still posting crap like that post like as if they know something. It's beyond tedious now.
Ah ok, I see. Sorry I miss understood.

Never said that though. Do you feel better when you do the laugh face at posts? Far as I can see you offer very little else yourself
As much as you do using insults. I do generally find it amusing for the excuses as to why he hasn't been sacked yet though.

I don't need to offer anything, I don't believe he is getting sacked.

You are putting too much faith into people who have yet to prove... well, anything.
I think we’re all putting to much faith in them because they ain’t the glazers and they started of well by bringing in footballing people.

Keep a clean shit tomorrow, United is my final bus
Nothing today,
Nothing tomorrow.

Next week :+1:
Early last week you said one day that he'll be gone by the end of the day. Then that he's not going at all, but we also want Southgate. Now a week later you're saying nothing till next week.

Come clean or explain why you've been wrong and what you've been told to make you so sure it'll be next week.

Yes I honestly do. Because guardiola would have left end of next season which will put us in a better position since all the other clubs will be rebuilding with new managers etc.
In that case I admire your optomism. Erik himself doesn't seem too confident on that front. He seems to think we could maybe challenge for 4th next year, if we get lucky with injuries and sign the right players.

I mean this is funny because if he said we will challenge for the league you'd be saying he is deluded.

Maybe because that would be the next step after finishing 8th. Becoming a regular top 4 team before we can even think about the league. We need to make sure we’re in a good position for when Guardiola leaves.

Well I doubt I would personally but that's hardly the point. When he was hired I doubt any United fan and certainly not the club would have been happy with the seasons goal of his 3rd year being to maybe challenge for 4th place.

Especially not after the backing he's had in the transfer market.

This squad shouldn't have finished 8th though. So if we hopefully get 4th next season in year 3, the goal for year 4 will be to repeat it? How long before we can challenge for the title then?

He's definitely on the wum now and the mods should be doing something about it.

Howard Nurse looks like he wiggles his fingers and declares "don't mind if I do" out loud whenever he sees donuts.

Why are people assuming that tweet has anything to do with Ten Hag, or United at all for that matter?

It just seems like keeping ETH was/is an option but likely 4th or 5th choice so they're sounding out replacements and seeing how things develop, if enough of the preferred options fall through for whatever reason we might get far enough down the list where keeping ETH is preferable so they're not going to swing the axe just yet as they don't want to end up with no manager and no good candidate to replace him.

I’ll be very disappointed if he’s replaced with Tuchel or Poch or worse still Southgate.

How trustworthy are they? Legit or bullshit?
Jamie Jackson is a Guardian journo and I don't think he'd be saying that if he didn't know it to be true.

How accurately The United Stand have represented his words and the context surrounding them - no idea.

Blanc was never in line to be the CEO of Manchester United.

That was the media putting one and one together to get 3.

He is CEO of INEOS sporting division and was announced on our board during the acquisition as a representative of INEOS. That's where the confusion came from for the journalists reporting it at the time and why it quietened down pretty quickly.

It was also reported not long before the Berrarda appointment that the Glazers had agreed that the Sporting side and commercial side went hand in hand and that INEOS would also be involved in that side (which I believe was a briefing warming up to said appointment).

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5224377/2024/01/24/man-utd-ineos-jim-ratcliffe/

What was never reported was that the Glazers told INEOS no regarding Blanc.
