I mean they had a fair bit of fortune with the first two goals.

But for all the possession we've had pinning them back they're the ones creating the quality chances. We've had pot-shots from outside the box, wayward crosses and really just that. The goal was the only actual good chance we made with all that dominance.

Do you think? They look all over the shop positionally to me. Eriksen being left with Martinez as Casemiro has gone charging forward is a recipe for disaster to me.
I don't think you dominate for 40 minutes with a weak midfield. The new system is certainly built to increase turnovers of play but we are meant to use it to our advantage. I'd say we have from the 5-10 minute mark to the whole of the 45.

He's been terrible since the season started but today is strange timing to single him out; considering it's his best game for us this season so far.
Who did I single out? I mentioned two places...lol. Maybe I was wrong to double them out? Maybe not.

If we look this shot of energy I dread to think what will happen when the cup competitions start...

Yeah I’m confused by the Antony hate today. He’s been pretty good albeit not having the end product yet
What exactly has he been "pretty good" at today? His passing is the usual below average stuff, his shooting is the same curling shot which rarely beats the keepers, he has had so much of the ball but has not created a single half chance the whole game so far.

Pellistri should come on for Antony, but of course that won’t happen until the 70th minute.

Martial has been useless, but it’s only his 45 minutes. He needs another 45 minutes to prove how useless he really can be over 90 minutes, if only given the chance.
If anyone should be brought off its Rashford. He's not pressing. I watched them beat our press with ease at ~38 minutes. Antony was pressing their keeper and left centreback, Martial moved to press their left back and then you had Rashford doing nothing, and Eriksen and Bruno also weren't pressing high enough. They were able to pass around Antony between the centrebacks and then through Casemiro. Had we pressed the centrebacks as we should have we could have forced a turnover.

    To speed our descent?
He might have been a wee racist but he was our racist. We're Man United (well I'm not but you get the gist) and we're all in it together.

It is different, because Arteta is there for years, it looks even worse for them, but somehow this is the straw where we call for ETH head.

You lose credibility when you post such comparisons.
For starters, they can still make the comeback. In fact I am confident they will win their game. Secondly we've had a terrible 1 and half games so far before today. This is a continuation of that.

I still can't get over that first goal and every single decision Onana made for it  :( just painfully bad.
He has had howlers throughout his career. The problem stems from the fact that our hierachy doesn't implement a proper scouting system but instead asks the manager what players he wants. No other club works this way.

State of the defence for the first goal. Exactly the same against Wolves, central midfield and defence non-existent. Whatever Ten Hag’s tactics aren’t working and he needs to change it asap otherwise we are going to get a few hammerings this season.

Looks like Antony is off. Can’t see his glowing head anywhere at least.

    Edit: There it is.

Someone explain to me why is Casemiro so much attacking at United than he was at Madrid ? It's great when he scores but the counter affect is that it tires him

Exactly my feelings, I don't get it at all. He's being allowed to do as he pleases and overall I'm not sure it benefits us, not with our current setup and midfield.

Poor, but nothing surprising. It’s all hit and hope and no real ability to create chances. We don’t run teams around and create space, just all about moments and then fluffing them.

Yes we could come back and win this(don’t think we will) but we are still doing absolutely nothing in this league or in Europe in terms of challenging, actually will not be surprised if we go straight back into Europa league after CL group. There are some serious pastings on the horizon, teams cut through us or break on us with ease.

A proven forward and a midfield general was needed first. Not Mount and a kid. Onana may be better with his feet than De Gea but we are not seeing it really benefit us and probably won’t until the other areas improve. Which won’t unless we buy better.

ETH has a massive second season ahead of him as this will continue to get worse before it gets better. Arsenal, Brighton and City in next 6 games I think. Frightening.

Maybe the board panic and release some funds, that’s the only benefit I can see should we lose.

People need to ease up with the dominating talk. Forest got 2 balls early goals and were in shock apparently and decided to just absolutely bunker. Once they realized not a great idea and started getting back forward again they almost got their 3rd

I knew with Lindelof and Maguire warming up that someone at the back was coming off. Don’t tell me injured?

Didn't take Varane long to pickup an injury. We'll be seeing Maguire in no time.

And people blamed McFred. Be careful what you wish for. They might have been crap but they werent solely the problem....

You certainly can dominate when the opposition is happy to sit back and concede possession and allow you to take control, knowing they're already 2-0 up.

    So do you.
