They all have break/termination/penalty clauses. If in 3 years United felt they could get £150m a year over 10 they’d likely be able to terminate without it getting hit for the full amount.

There will be break clauses etc. Most will include significant penalties you'd imagine though.

City signed one worth £65 million just 4 years ago - and that runs until 2029
Liverpools deal is expected to run until 2025 but that was never made public - worth £70m
Chelsea runs until 2032 and is only worth £60 m
Newcastle had a Puma deal which was worth less than £10 million in 2021 - not sure if they extended it. But to think Newcastle will attract a huge shirt-deal just because they qualified for C.L once - that wont happen.
So no - I think you are wrong - there is no reason to expect anyone short-term to make a better deal
I doubt the current owners or the new owners would have anything to do with the deal. We have people at the club who specialise in sponsorship deals and negotiations.

It’s well above our rivals at 30m a year more than City. We’re never getting a better deal than this we've been shite for 10 years.
Its a minimum of 90m per season, on our last deal it would drop significantly without CL football

Adidas kits have been more miss than hit for me, but I think the Chevrolet logo plays a big part in that. It was so bad. The new away kit is one of the worst kits I have ever seen. The third kit last season is a close second. But the home and third are excellent! Nike are responsible for the tablecloth kit, but I remember their designs being cleaner and more sleek. Would rather go back to Nike or perhaps try Puma.
The money is more important, though, so big deal. Good stuff.
Think Real Madrid's was £950m with Adidas from 2019 to 2028, so £105m a year.

They can't fudge that one, as UAE don't own Nike/Puma. It has to be above board.
If we missed CL football for two seasons in a row, it would drop by £22.5m for each season we’re out of it and then go back to the normal amount when we re entered again. Furthermore, Woodward explained in an investor call that the drop would be divided by the number of years left in the term of the contract and be reduced by that amount per year, so if we missed out for 2 years from the day we signed it, it would 22.5/8= 2.8m. Then for the remaining 8 years it would have been an yearly payment of 75-2.8=72.2m per season.

Yep. Just hope UEFA do away with rule that forces clubs to have space on the sleeves for poxy badges.

Pretty sure there was a bunch of clubs (and countries) with exactly this same design. Nike used to just reuse their base template for multiple kits but with different colours.This was my fav United kit:

In terms of quality I've found the adidas replica kits to be rubbish - badges coming off after a couple of months, stitching coming apart etc (and this was me wearing the shirt while mostly sitting on my butt). So not inclined to buy any more shirts in the coming years.

Nike better than Adidas that's really funny. They had some absolute rubbish kits. Adidas are at least for me the better designed kits.

Well, I cannot speak about the quality, because I haven't bought a kit since 2010 for obvious reasons. But yeah, I prefer the designs of Nike, even with the occasional mistake. Adidas have been largely meh, with the occasional shite one. 16-17 and 20-21, for example.

I have the most iconic United memories in Nike. That may have something to do with it.

That's some bonkers increase but you have to wonder if the Glazers were happy to sign off a 10-year deal because it pumps the valuation and after 5 years, we might be in a position where this doesn't look anywhere near as good (but they won't care/be affected by it).
Adidas are very conservative in their design. This is why I actually applaud them for this season's away kit -- the Green/white with thin red lines ... they are pushing the boat out on this design.
Its the best they have come out with in terms of imagination for a long time. Almost like a casual shirt.
