But Nike have? They've been using the same template for their kits for over 10 years. You can tell a Nike kit before you even see the logo.wanted Nike back - adidas kits have not moved me
Ah, it seems you're under the assumption that the Glazers aren't going to do a bunch of money upfront deals this summer then feck off into the sunset with the money once the sale is finalised. You'd have thought (especially with 3 years left on the deal) this sort of stuff would be paused until the new owners come in?
What if the new ownership wants shorter contract term lengths compared to the Glazers preference of long deals?

Weren’t there rumours over the weekend Adidas had given their ok for #11 to return over the weekend? Then this gets released this morning. Feel like it’s inevitable (sorry to derail the thread).
Nike:We’ve not been with Nike for a minute - I don’t keep an eye out for what they’re doing elsewhere, but if something doesn’t work for me then I welcome a fresh approach?! Thus me wanting Nike back.
So Glazers who have stopped taking Dividends which usually was in the region of 20 m a year anyway would suddenly Take out all the Sponsorship money prior to Sale go figure , your hatred of Glazer's not without reasons I must admit is clearly impeding your ability to think rationally it seems .Ah, it seems you're under the assumption that the Glazers aren't going to do a bunch of money upfront deals this summer then feck off into the sunset with the money once the sale is finalised.
Which is alot to be fair in the amortization language.20% increase on the previous deal and an extra £15m per season towards FFP
You think they won't clean the coffiers on the way out? Believe me, we'll be lucky to still have carpets left when they're gone.So Glazers who have stopped taking Dividends which usually was in the region of 20 m a year anyway would suddenly Take out all the Sponsorship money prior to Sale , your hatred of Glazer's not without reasons I must admit is clearly impeding your ability to think rationally it seems .
They’re not really though. The deal is worth £900m over 10 years. Our current deal initially agreed over 10 years ago was worth £750m over 10 years.I’ve really liked the vast majority of adidas kits so I’m happy they’re continuing
No word on the price of the deal is a bit concerning, suggests it’s not great else I’d imagine we’d see the ‘record shirt deal’ type of announcements
Edit: Numbers are starting to come and and they are indeed massive so fair play
Yeh I saw that, I feel like they would though. If they’re privately ok with it they still wouldn’t want it being publicly reported they’ve been part of the decision. I’m sure they’d rather the angle be ‘Utd decision, we weren’t and won’t be getting involved’.They've denied that

Adidas don't get to decide who wears their shirts, if they did you'd need to present your ID and a clean criminal record to buy a shirt.Weren’t there rumours over the weekend Adidas had given their ok for #11 to return over the weekend? NopeLast deal...
The Red Devils receive £75 million per year from Adidas. However, that will be cut by 30 per cent if they fail to secure Champions League football for two seasons in a row. Man United finished outside the top four last season and if that happens again, the annual payment from Adidas will come down to £52.5 million.
I've forgotten the last few seasons but did we miss out on CL football two seasons in a row?

I don't know whether you are serious or not but in my opinion they won't be taking any more money out of United If they are selling .You think they won't clean the coffiers on the way out? Believe me, we'll be lucky to still have carpets left when they're gone.
I'm willing to bet you that before they leave there will be management fees and dividends paid out, of record amounts at that.I don't know whether you are serious or not but in my opinion they won't be taking any more money out of United If they are selling .
I'll gladly take that bet .I'm willing to bet you that before they leave there will be management fees and dividends paid out, of record amounts at that.
Wait until you see City's new £3b deal later this year...Seems like they’ve taken the top 4 clause deductions out - and instead we have a minimum amount guaranteed which can rise based on further achievements. Looks a cracking deal tbh.
I thought the same.Yeh I saw that, I feel like they would though. If they’re privately ok with it they still wouldn’t want it being publicly reported they’ve been part of the decision. I’m sure they’d rather the angle be ‘Utd decision, we weren’t and won’t be getting involved’.

They’re not really though. The deal is worth £900m over 10 years. Our current deal initially agreed over 10 years ago was worth £750m over 10 years.
Furthermore I’m not sure if the £900m includes the two remaining years of the current deal plus the further 10 years of the new deal. Which would make the deal worth £75m per year, which is identical to our current deal with them.
A bit of a surprise given we had Ronaldo’s shirt sales in this current period. Which you’d have thought would have helped us negotiate much higher numbers for any new deal.
Doesn’t seem that much of an increase when we signed the last deal so long ago? City, Chelsea and Newcastle will no doubt sign obscene deals that dwarf this.
