Last minute winner in that Palace game and they were apparently battered in that Villa game and lucky to win.
It's mad to think they were just a couple of results away from being in a genuine relegation battle.

Brendan Rodgers also bottled that game Leicester at the top of that list, where Chelsea played like shite especially in the first half and even had Gallagher sent off in the first half. I remembered watching the first half and switched to other game at 2-0.Last minute winner in that Palace game and they were apparently battered in that Villa game and lucky to win.

Exactly. For example you were denied stonewall penalty at West Ham, etc.Yeah but alternatively there are loads of other games we either battered teams or outplayed them and got nothing from the game. Liverpool at home for example.
West Ham game you had that Cornet goal ridiculously ruled out late on so that would've very likely been 2-2.
In reality I think they'd have won a few more games if they felt the bottom teams were closing in. They've just got to 38-39 points and totally chucked the season in.
What's the lowest points haul in premier league era as they had a few bottom half finishes in the early 90s.
Not sure how the point per game would look for 42 game season, but reaching 50 points at the moment looks distant with their remaining fixture.West Ham game you had that Cornet goal ridiculously ruled out late on so that would've very likely been 2-2.

TBF, he tried to get out but somehow got stuck, especially the PSG loan move this winter. Players move to bigger club and fail and need to move again is nothing questionable, especially picking up that CL medal even as squad member.I've questioned some Ajax player's career moves but damn, Ziyech, my bromance, really takes the cake on this one.
Ik know but he picked his career so wisely from Heerenveen to Twente, not leaving Ajax too soon and even stayed longer than de Jong and de Ligt. Then gets fecked royally in the ass by the club you'd most expect it from.TBF, he tried to get out but somehow got stuck, especially the PSG loan move this winter. I don't think it's expected. Russian invasion turned the whole thing upside down at Chelsea forcing the club sale. If it's under Abramovich, after last summer, under previous upper management, he would at least be loaned out easily in the summer. He has his pick of clubs to join like PSG. Last winter he was at PSG waiting to pen the loan contract IIRC, but for the loan move broken down because paperwork issue!?Ik know but he picked his career so wisely from Heerenveen to Twente, not leaving Ajax too soon and even stayed longer than de Jong and de Ligt. How do they keep losing games yet their league position never changes

I said I would consider that a successful season. A lot would have to go right for us. If we have a good summer, as I have outlined above, with no European football and lots of empty midweeks, I could see us potentially finishing top 4, yes.
I've just watched that Fabregas video and looked at the squad you had back then.
You had a solid spine of
Courtois, Terry, Azpilicueta, Kante, Fabregas, Hazard and Costa to work with.
Now though your best players are either past it and/or injury prone.
You've only won 10 league games this season. I just don't see how it's possible that you go from that back to top four.
If Pochettino doesn't make a good start I can see you facing a relegation battle next season. Chelsea look like the new Everton to me. A big club that are being completely mismanaged off the field and throwing ridiculous money at bang average players.
To be honest a lot of fans called out your form after Christmas but your fanbase waved it away. Plus a lot of us called out your absurd transfer policy in the summer. Not saying we expected you to be this bad but Chelsea having a terrible season was obvious from a long time ago. It's not that I think you're totally incorrect with your assessment but if we reverse the scenario, would you have said it was possible to go from a team that went to both domestic finals last season and arguably were better team in both of them, were around 10 mins from reaching the CL semis and finished 3rd to this empty shell of a team in 12th place?
It's been 1 season of the new ownership. It might be a good idea to pump the brakes a little.
We’ve been shit a lot longer than a season. It all went south after Xmas last season. It’s been a year, many mistakes have been made and there’s (currently) no end in sight. To be honest a lot of fans called out your form after Christmas but your fanbase waved it away. another loss for lamps today? i reckon it is.
he seems like a reasonable nice guy and he's smart. Think he's just over his head with managing Chelsea. I bet if he plowed his way through the lower table more he'd come good.

Would be interesting to see, at the end of the season, how many points Chelsea got from Tuchel's games, how many from Potter's and how many from Lampard's. It looks like all the points Tuchel managed to get them kept them away from a relegation fight.
Chelsea doesn't look a committed team. A few of their players are not tracking back all the time and if rumours are to be believed that they are after Zaha, so that is not about to get any better. You need someone to get in there and crack the whip.
There is definitely a clear out this season by the looks of things which I don’t think is a bad thing at all.
The players we have brought in are really young and with sensible purchases around them in the right areas, it will massively bring on their development.
I could see the following leave:
Ziyech
Pulisic
Mendy
Kepa
Azpi
Koulibaly (if someone can match wages)
Aubameyang
Bakayoko (finally)
There is a lot of movement going on with the youth too. An exodus of young players unlikely to reach first team status.
I think Kante will sign an extension.
Unsure about Loftus-Cheek and Hudson-Odoi.
Makes me dislike Tuchel even more.Would be interesting to see, at the end of the season, how many points Chelsea got from Tuchel's games, how many from Potter's and how many from Lampard's. It looks like all the points Tuchel managed to get them kept them away from a relegation fight.
Amazing potential but injuries have robbed him of a top career,Any info on Dujon Sterling? Seen he was linked to a move to Rangers. How is he viewed by you guys Chelsea fans, any good?!
