I am not watching the game, but I saw the clip of the 0-2 and it's quite obvious there as well:

You see Eriksen dropped back between Maguire and Lindelöf and spread out across like a back 3, with Dalot in front of them right next to Casemiro, and AWB far away pretty much in RW. You can't see the attacking positioning here, but it looks almost like a sort of 3-2-5, with players shifted all over the place to make it happen. It's very attacking and I suppose great stuff for a Tifo video or something like that.
Yep! Great video, we looked great today with tweaks like this.

What a performance especially with so many injuries. We need another 2 world class performance against Sevilla and Brighton to continue our quest for silverware this season.

Finish 3rd and champion of Europa League and FA are achievable.

I say this every couple of weeks, but this fella has worked miracles here.

He’s been without a good midfield and a proper striker since January and still has us results. Now he’s lost his centre halves.

Eriksen, Casemiro and Martial coming back is a godsend.

You could argue he’s been without a proper striker all season. Ronaldo did feck all in the first half of the season.

Best thing ETH did was recognise we need a new centre midfield. Something the previous two managers badly messed up.

When we get Casemiro, Eriksen and Bruno together we look like a proper team again. Best we've played in ages.

Really hoping in the summer he gets those long term alternatives to Eriksen and Casemiro in place.

I am not used to see this type of performance towards the end of the season. Usually we drag and drag.

Our midfield and our link up play was totally out of this world today. They were playing as a team and well drilled. The match was exciting to watch.

Play like this vs Sevilla and Brighton we will be through to EL semi and FA Cup final.

Our worst football came when Eriksen and Cas were unavailable. Now both are back and we look like a football team once again. Go figure!

Big improvement under ETH and really don’t care where we end up this season. Once this man gets all his players, we will be challenging.
Some on here seem to think EtH should come on the pitch and spray passes like Eriksen or Casemiro when he's only got McT and Fred to work with.

Without doubt the man is an underrated communicator in terms of his press conference/media appearances. You look at him pre-United and know he doesn’t want to do this stuff but it is becoming a strength. Not a flashy performer or jester (Mourinho, Van Gaal) but he gets his message across, soft and funny enough to be human but deflects where he has to and never says the wrong thing regarding the club. Knows how to build momentum without creating pressure and understands what signals it sends in how he talks about the club, or tolerates/chums along with pundits.

45 minutes after the full time whistle, barely even a page added on here after producing a beautiful performance.

Instead of actually using this forum as a discussion board, people use it as an emotional punching bag, almost like venting to your therapist.

There’s no celebration, no enjoyment when it goes well. Only “criticism when it’s warranted”.

Such a miserable way to live your life. I hope whoever needs help gets it.

This man needs a top level striker and he’ll take us places. Just hypothetically slot Kane into this team and the recent 2-0 wins we’ve been seeing turn to 4-0s.

Yeah mate, as if people only criticize somebody when they feel he made a mistake and stay away if they think he didn't.
Is that all it is then?

Mistake - criticise. Done well - stay quiet.

Like I said, absolutely miserable group of “supporters“.

And on the other end of that spectrum, there are some posters, who conspicuously have overly negative or critical takes. It's a lot of hindsight remarks and warped standards, which you can see it yourself in the 'Who's replied' of this thread and have a quick scan of their posts.

ETH is not perfect and has deserved a lot of just criticism but the way some people comment, you'd think it was still Ole here. The guy won a cup on his first try, which literally makes him the most successful manager of the last 5 years and yet people still go with the 'he's not really done that much different to be able to evaluate his time here', which is ridiculous.

There's a fine of course between supporting and overdoing it but likewise, there are some who are coy about it and imo actually just have weird bias/agendas.

Good result. We look a lot better with our better midfielders and Martial back on the pitch, as expected.

You get it. That’s exactly what has always been here. Sometimes I can’t stand thinking that what kinds of achievements they had in their life make them so confident to label the others not good enough, even shit, not only against ETH, but also our players.

He is quietly going on about doing a brilliant job. Some of the one touch football we got today to beat the press was excellent.

Forest had 0 shots on target, as well. Again, we blew away another team. Just need to convert more chances.

Also, since the drubbing by Liverpool:

Played 9; Won 6; Drawn 2 (both with 10 men); Lost 1; Scored 15; Conceded 6; Clean sheets 5. Not bad.

We were set up great today, especially considering the injury situation. First team to keep a clean sheet away to forest in the league side August.

He has done a fecking unbelievable job so far all things considered. Not sure what else people could realistically have asked for.

:) Way better to come in here after a beautiful performance and complain about other posters.

Look mate, I am perfectly fine celebrating team and staff when they do well. I don't think, apart from Bruno, anybody stood out. The lineup was down to injuries, but even with the 2nd string (which in part wasn't 2nd string) we are comfortably, player for player a better side. If you think, the manager did well today, celebrate. No issues with that. But you shouldn't take issue with people having different levels of enthusiasm and expectations. Not like anybody decides on that on a rational level.

And on the other end of that spectrum, there are some posters, who conspicuously have overly negative or critical takes. It's a lot of hindsight remarks and warped standards, which you can see it yourself in the 'Who's replied' of this thread and have a quick scan of their posts.
You are absolutely right. There are few people who want to argue for argues sake, some of them taking a stance of overly harsh criticism and some of them taking a stance of hyping up decent to goodish performances. This forum is a social thing, you will always have that. The thing is, the criticism is very soft, only a tiny minority is taking up extreme positions. But some argue as if they are needed to prevent the whole forum to turn on the manager any minute.

It is ridiculous to you. Which is a perfectly fine and legitimate standpoint. But not the only one possible. I share the slight notion that ETH did really well this season but he didn't do any wonders. He has been good to very good, but some act as if hes the 2nd coming and beyond criticism. Which, based on your post, you also not agree on.

There's a fine of course between supporting and overdoing it but likewise, there are some who are coy about it and imo actually just have weird bias/agendas.
That is you commenting on other peoples decisions, that you don't understand, by assuming some motives. Maybe, maybe they just feel some of the praise is a bit OTT. And they feel the need to point that out. Nothing more.

You refered back to Ole. He was hyped up as well and criticism was met with vitriol (granted, the most extreme criticism came with its own high level of that) which only led to an endless "look I told you so" situation after every good game, that was used from one side to belittle the other side and every bad game used to belittle the others. Pointless waste of time. And it is starting again, I commented on a post last night, that came to conclusion about "stupid people" and "braindead" criticism.

I always knew that our poor form over the last few weeks was down to not having both Casemiro and Eriksen.

It's no surprise when they come back and we instantly look better.

Good reaction today albeit against poor opponents. We played fairly well all game and should have scored more.

Will need to go up a few more gears Thursday night though. Sevilla at home will be very tough after the lifeline we have given them

What did he say?
Struggling to remember but the pundits pointed out Maguire usually plays LCB and Lindelof the other.

Eth said never under him, and the reason is passing angles make LCB harder for Maguire and Lindelof has a good left foot.

It’s about defending not passing.
