Past few games you can seriously see the team starting to control the game more. We look miles away from the turd we were served up the past few years. Even without the attack flowing (we really need a striker who is fit every week) everything else is just a lot more organised and we we’re never able to play like this under Ole. Excited for the rest of the season now.

It’s going to the wire and we could easily end up 5th/6th. That’s realistic currently.
We could end up 10th. We could win the league. We’re not even a third of the way through the season. The main thing is that we’re very clearly improving. Anyone who can’t see this must not be paying attention (or picked up some strange bias against ETH at some point)

Really hope he gets the backing to finish the job. Ten Hag's done very well with what he has but we're still lacking in a couple of key areas and in squad depth. If we can get a few more good players in we'll be a very good side.

Id be happy with comfortably in the top 4. Going down to the wire to finish 4th isn’t something I can get excited for.
And seriously.. miracles? We’ve spent 240m and have an expensively assembled squad already.

Being almost on a par with spurs and Chelsea is nothing to rave about.
Clueless. Put last year's team in this season's fixture list we'd be down in 12th at best. Wins against arsenal, Liverpool, forget it. Not to say outplaying the likes of spurs and Chelsea away. Didn't happen last season.
It's scary that we still have people who would bin him off if we finish 5th, even if we continue to show clear improvement and that we're going in the right direction.
They're morons.

Funny how spending 240mil means we should be comfortably ahead of Chelsea who not just finished higher last season but spent more to go with it.

I’ve absolutely loved watching us (city aside) since the Brentford debacle. ETH is improving us week on week. Will be bumps in the road but this is THE MAN

I think the inverted full backs give us more control, but the full backs mix it up nicely.

Very happy with him.

They're morons. We're not going to find anyone better than Ten Hag. I've never been more optimistic about a United manager since Ferguson

Brilliant work thus far from ETH. It will be interesting to see how we now deal with teams who set up with a low block for 90 mins. Those are the games we need 3 points from to finish 4th

I like that we try to play our game even when faced with a top 4 rival on their ground. Ten Hag is building up some serious credit with us supporters so far, which is no small feat considering the PTSD we all must have from the previous managers.

If I see ‘The Top 4 or get rid’ gang in here I’m going to lose my shit.

When are some of you going to realise that finishing in the Top 4 this season isn’t going to define Ten Hag’s managerial reign at Man Utd.

Jose finished 2nd. Ole finished 2nd. How did that end?

Build for the future, stick with the boss and stop thinking short term for the love of Eric.

Man for man, we won’t come up against a better team who plays that way than Tottenham Hotspur. So I’m not worried at all.

This is exactly the manager we need right now and for the foreseeable future. I see good things ahead, and I wouldn't trade him for Pep, Klopp, or anyone.

The best we have looked against the other top 6 since van gaal, hopefully with the tough run if fixtures out the way we can go on a good run of winning games before the wc

Will accept that when it turns into wins the majority of the time. Currently we don’t have a lot to show for the good football and improved stats.
I mean we are 11 games into the season? Not like we can have a load of trophies yet.

You haven't seen dumb guys on the Internet yet? Just ignore them mate.

I'm a bit worried about the schedule and the stamina of our players though. It's actually very demanding to play like that week in week out. We have basically no squad depth and Varane just got injured. Then we have the world cup in which many of our players would have to play too.

Not good enough in my opinion, the fact we've not one the world cup is bang out of order. It's time to go.

4th match in 10 days and we have just taken 4 points from 2 clubs above us in the table. Great effort.

Imagine Ten Hag hadn’t had to deal with the diva Ronaldo situation, captain non fantastic, giving Shaw the kick up the ass he needed and De Gea not being able to play out from the back!
To be where we are AND having to deal with all the other nightmares is a miracle.
Ten Hag is our now and future.

I think he meant with the results. LVG had decent wins against top team, he beat Liverpool and city a few times. Agreed though, his football doesn’t compare to the one we’re playing now.

you might want to go back and check his record v the top 6.. we never got embarrassed under LVG by any top 6 side
To be fair, I don't think there was ever a weaker period of "top 6" teams than when LvG was manager. Leicester won the league, pre-Pep City, basically pre-Klopp Liverpool, Wenger at Arsenal, Poch just starting out at Spurs, Mourinho collapse at Chelsea etc.

Like the scattered and ultimately average results? Football is better no doubt but if just for a top 4 challenge is disappointing.
Eh? We started the season with the betting markets predicting we'd finish 6th, and for good reason. If you were expecting more than a top four battle then the fault lies with your expectations, not with the team. If we finish within the top four it will have been an excellent season.

I think this is a bit of a silly take if I'm honest. The team is currently 3 points off 3rd place having played all 6 teams currently in the top 7 apart from us. Playing 5 games against the conventional "big 6", 2 of them away.

We've arguably had the hardest run of fixtures in the league.

Clearly going in the right direction. Give him De Jong, a world class CF and back up RB over the next two windows, and we'll be rolling.

Most remarkable thing, other than the team spirit, is how the team are suddenly playing much more to his style with regards to pressing and keeping the ball. Seems like there’s been a dramatic improvement in the teams ability/understanding of it over the past 3 matches.

Also with a forward who takes chances we beat Newcastle and Chelsea. Rashford needs to start taking his chances.
