Well if he comes we're gonna shift sanch to the left.

Might as well try to cash in on rashford if possible.

Refusing to train to force a move, we sure need proffesional pricks like that.

At this moment not a single Eredivisie player is worth 80m. It's too big of a gamble (let's be honest).
But Man United is just desperate at this point.

His club just refused a more than fair offer of an amount that they had been holding out for all summer for him, I'd be pissed too.

Sancho needs to seriously up his game before he thinks about forcing his way onto the left wing

Both Rashford and sancho have been dreadful but sancho seems to offer more at least.
The other option is playing martial there and he doesn't seem to like that.

People still bullying Sanchez when he left us years ago:nono:

No you are right - we want players that we have to drag out of their clubs training sessions because they’d rather stay.

Antony isn't on that level though.

Cr7 was the best player in the world. Rooney was the best teenager in the world.

Cr7 wasnt the best when he joined.

And Rooney was a teenager. There’s always risk

I have to agree. However, the fee of a player is only ever brought up when they fail. Does anyone ever feel Real overpaid for CR7? We overpaid for a teenage Rooney? World record fee for a defender in Ferdinand?

If we can be successful and he does well, the fee won't be spoken about. That is the risk we take.
Everyone said it was obscene when Liverpool spent a world record defender fee for VVD. It all went quiet after a few months. Fee never mentioned again.

Rashford has at least made shots on goal and looked mildly dangerous. Sancho's done nothing so far this season.

Ronaldo wasn't one of the best players in the world when he got the Real Madrid transfer?

Rooney was a teenager who was amazing in the league and also internationally.

To be fair I think Sancho is better off the left . We will see him there if Antony is signed and Rashford can feck off to the bench for the season

Its true.
At the same time the market is also terribly inflated, even if you disregard business of Manchester United. Grealish 100m, Lukaku was 100ish million, Pulisic and Pepe was crazy money. Even defenders like Cucurella who whilst very good, are going for 63m£

Anthony and one more CM and all of a sudden our team looks quite neat.

Sancho - Ronaldo/Martial - Anthony

Is a very promising attack

That just leaves us short again though. We need Anthony because we have so few attacking options, not to replace anyone.

We currently only have 4 senior attacking players in Ronaldo, Rashford, Martial and Sancho for 3 positions, which is terrible depth. We could really do with 2 attackers if no one leaves. We know Ronaldo is trying to leave. And now people want to sell Rashford too. Anyone who leaves means we need to add 1 more to our current shopping list.

The point is to have 3 high level attackers to rotate and compete with each other, and whoever is out of form is benched for the game. Rashford is 100% capable of being part of the rotation. Selling him would be a terrible move.

True, but the time is right to cash in on Rashford if we can imo. The rest of the world doesn't seem to have realised Rashford's ineptitude yet, we could likely sign a much cheaper replacement as a squad option, and I hope one or two of the youngsters will surpass him before long anyway (maybe not this season). There's also Martial, Eriksen, Bruno, Hannibal who could play from the left, even if not strictly as a winger.

Yeah people are so weird. Garnacho is not ready to be thrust into the role people want to give him.

Ronaldo, Martial, Sancho, Rashford, New Attacker, Elanga, Pellistri and Garnacho should be enough. Pellistri is staying past the window closing due to his injury. Amad should be loaned out.

And at the time, with those talents, those prices seemed too high for them.
I can still remember when we signed Rooney. It was an astronomical figure let alone for a teenager from Everton. I remember an article in The Athletic stating that Rooney would have been well over 110 million pounds today.
