Ralf Rangnick | ex-interim manager | does anyone rate him?

This is the worst we have played in years and years. Solskjaer was a disastrous appointment and so was Rangnick.

Ralf has been so uninspiring and passive that we'd have honestly been better off with Ole for the rest of the season.
Ralf got one of the easiest fixture runs your ever likely to see for 2 months and he was even underwhelming in those.
Ole would have taken more points in that time.

This would have never happened under Ole
Yeah, because everything was going swimmingly at the end of his tenure. The team he built is garbage. Huge sums of money wasted by allowing a molde manager to rebuild Manchester United. Ed Woodward has ruined this football club

Useless. Given Utd nothing, brought on past association with a style that others evolved into something workable.

Say what you want about Ole but he has never lost to Everton on April 10

He’s fecking shit as a manager. What happened to his big gegenpressing shit?
Maybe the previous manager aka the crappiest manager post Fergie handed him a bunch of donkeys who cant do pressing ?

Whether you think he's been atrocious or decent considering what he has to work with or whatever, the players clearly do not want to play for him at all. There's just no effort at all, Everton battled for everything. He's been saying it for weeks we just have 0 physicality , not willing to do what it takes to take the game by the scruff and win it. To many players who don't want to be here.

It's hard to totally lay the blame on him when, if you've seen all his previous teams play football, they play nothing like this. Still, I was hoping he would inspire them to play better at least.

He should try getting some individual brilliance from the players, because this whole plan of his isn’t working.

Sack him now

Oh and make sure those 6 days a year he's working next season is only to plan the Christmas party

But he wouldn't get a 'free pass' by playing kids, football is a results based business. If you're not winning then you're under massive scrutiny, if we were losing and playing youngsters, people would be suggesting he should be playing the more experienced players.

This is down to the players and players alone, Rangnick isn't the one controlling the ball and making loose passes from player to player.

Do you even realise the irony in what you're writing?

"Fotball is a results based business"

We have won 1 game in 7.

And you're saying the manager has no blame in this whatsoever. Absolute state of this deluded fanbase.

Its true.

This shower of shite have chewed up and spat out most iterations, so any caretaker had no chance.

Hes here to instruct and evaluate before undoubtedly passing stern recommendations to turf out the deadwood. Im fine with that.

Ralf hasn't managed a top club but we know his style. We know how Hoffenheim and RB and Shalke would play. We know these players dont want to do that.

Blaming Ralf is so fecking hilarious its almost like some of these fans deserve it for their mindless finger pointing to the wrong person.

People talking about tactics and line up like it should matter much against Everton they absolute Turd.

This is on the players, absolute high end players on crazy ages, out playing like they haven't a clue can't do the basics right.

Aye but Rangnick fault, these clowns already for Ole sacked, and have checked out mentally, the whole season been a joke with the leaks and effort on the pitch. Aye but it's the interim manager fault

His tenure has undisputedly been absolutely garbage. Cannot even think of a single good game we had under him. The two managers that led us this season might be our worst two managers of all time.
That’s how I think I’ll remember this season. The season we sacked our worst ever manager and then replaced them with someone who isn’t even a manager to see out the season.

Hoepfully we can confirm new coach ASAP, Pogba, Mata, Matic, Cavani can all just go on holiday, Ronaldo to the MLS, we play all our youth products and it doesn’t matter if we’re 10th or 5th to me.

If you genuinely think being dumped out of all the cups at the first attempt and fighting for 7th place is the best we could have hoped for when Ole was sacked in November, then you're absolutely clueless and there's no point in even trying to have a fair and rational debate.

Christ, we needed someone to coach the football team for the rest of the season - not a fecking dad.

If we really wanted ETH in the summer, we could've just sacked Conte and hired him anway.
Yes. Wed hire conte for 2 years and sack him after 6 and get ETH.

Christ have a word. That's not how football works.

nothing manager, like I said last week, you might as well have a cardboard cut out out there representing us as a manager as there is nothing different out there.

Grow some balls, stop playing the turd and just put youth now to show us that you're doing something different. We ain't fighting for anything

And Newcastle, sadly. We also underperformed in terms of our xG compared to their average xGA, even against Newcastle-

Crystal Palace and West Ham are the positives one, where they created a lot less, difference would be that Crystal Palace tried but failed, as we were extremely aggressive, while West Ham generally sat back.

But yes, small samle size, but not as small as saying things are looking much better on the basis of our match against West Ham. We'll see how things are looking after the next 10 matches.

Aaaaand he's ben shit.

Told you.

Like i said last time, he fecked up, he should stick to his guns and drop every single useless fart that Ole left him after wasting 3 years and 300mil plus. Get some youngsters and most important separate them from seniors so they cant have any influence, it wouldnt be worse i bet.

Instead he decided to try and change our ways with mess that Ole left him, well this is what he got in returned, well deserved.

Guys, calm down. This has been the writing on the wall for months. Ralf is a really bad appointment as it turns out. The season is done three or four games ago. We should just look forward to the new season under eth.
Blindly blaming players and Ole is just laughable after all these games under Ralf. Accept it and move on.

The problem is you could have Klopp or Guardiola in charge but if the players aren’t willing to listen to instructions or put a shift in then the managers doomed to fail regardless.

Klopp or Guardiola would have easily got us top 4.

I suspect Favre, Fonseca, Garcia or Valverde would have done as well or at least had us a lot closer than we are with better performances.

The players figured out pretty quickly this guy is clueless and his lack of coaching experiences is really showing.

Oles best period was during the first months after he took over when the players were just happy because Mourinho was gone. They didn't dislike Ole by all accounts at any point so how on earth would a manager who puts far more emphasis on technical and tactical excellence come in for 6 months and turn things around when the players don't give a shit.

I think the plan was to lay the groundwork for a similar manager to take over in the summer and the team to have progressed in their fitness and tactical abilities but the players haven't taken anything on board. RR is not a top manager but he isn't close to being as bad as this bunch of cnuts makes him look. They just are not bothering.

Oles best period was the end of 2020 onwards. We went on a run of 27 PL games with 1 defeat, winning 17.

The club will clearly have told RR to get the team in the top 4, it's the minimum bar at United. We were 3 points off Top 4 when RR took over and we'd already played Chelsea, City, Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham, Wolves in the first 14 games. It's not like we were giving him an impossible task.

If the players aren't bothering then you replace them with players that will. But he's not even bothered to give any of our youngsters a chance with the exception of Elanga, he gave the club blessing to loan out a lot of our possible options. The players don't want to not be playing in the CL, you think players like Bruno, Ronaldo etc want to be playing in Europa or the other shitter European competition? Not to mention I imagine their contracts will have bonuses related to CL. The players deserve plenty of critism, but the way some on here is giving Rangnick a pass is, well it's bizarre. I didn't expect much in all honesty, hoped we might put a semi competent run together in the FA Cup. Either way, one of the worst seasons as a United fan I can remember in all honesty. At least with Jose's last season we had Ole to take over and gave us that win against PSG and made us all feel a bit more positive and happy to be a United fan. It's all looking really bleak right now. How very depressing.

You could say the same to absolve every other failing manager of blame.

I’m not saying he’s blameless he’s clearly not had the impact we all hoped for but when the same things are happening under different managers with the same players then you have to seriously look at where the real problem lies instead of just putting it all on one man.

It's not gone well but the club wrote the season off when they took so long to sack Solskjaer and only then started looking for even an interim manager.

The job now is to clear out a big chunk of this squad (although I do still think some of them could be good under the right manager and they've not been helped by the club being a complete joke that has most recently been managed by a guy who was previously fighting for 2nd in the Norwegian league and then replaced him with a guy who was working as a consultant for Lokomotiv Moscow, we've hardly gone for best in class in that respect) and build a younger team to a more coherent vision and hopefully Rangnick can be helpful in ensuring that the decision makers at the club do a better job than they have in recent years.

I don't understand why we needed to sack Ole and assign Ralf. Everything has gone from bad to worse
I rate Rakf 1 and Ole 5, hope we get a 8 or 9 next, this has been a Shakespeare parodi.
Ole needed to be sacked because he had you collapsing, losing 1-5 to Liverpool, then schooled 2-0 to City, and then after a couple of weeks of deliberations a hapless 1-3 to Watford on top. All that after starting the season poorly already. And all that after three years of squad building and investment while being inconsistent on the field.
Ole is not terrible, but also not a top manager and didn't deserve to be in the job. He had to be sacked and then an interim manager has to be hired. Why is that concept so hard to understand?

The problem is you could have Klopp or Guardiola in charge but if the players aren’t willing to listen to instructions or put a shift in then the managers doomed to fail regardless.
On the other hand, players would listen if they know their manager is a good one. So, it is unlikely that they would not listen to the likes of Klopp or Guardiola.
