Couldn't care less, sick of false dawns now, will probably be a shitty 0-0 and keep Ole in the job
Exactly. Cba anymore. Seen enough. This is a team of bottlers managed by a clueless manager. Not good for mental health.

Even if we lose, he will still keep his job that much is clear, unfortunately.

Hard to muster any genuine interest. We all know we're goong to fight for fourth all season again, we'll end up with 65-70 points, and go out in a cup semi-final or two.

It's the Manchester derby so, I'll watch and hope we pull out another unlikely win against them but overall... this season is just depressingly familiar.

This might be quite innovational, but I wonder if it would help if we tried using our strikers in the centre rather than on the wings? Do 'centre' forwards not exist these days?

Lost track of how many times my OH screamed 'there's no one there' when the ball was crossed into the penalty area.

Epitome of a fair weather fan. Reminds me when loads of kids deserted Liverpool after Fergie won his first title. Or the number of so called 'Spurs' fans who decided Arsenal were the team for them

City are starting to regain form again so will be a tough ask to get a result, I’d be happy with a draw atm but it’s a derby match and we should always go for the win no matter what.

Don’t think Pep will be losing much sleep over it could see a 3-1 maybe 4-1 City if we don’t get our act together but it’s a big chance to redeem ourselves so we have to be right up for it.

I’d start Pogba as well seemed like a driving force when he came on we need our top players to perform and also it will add to the spectacle. May as well take it to City rather than going out on a whimper.

I think we will win this. 4-2-3-1, Fred-McTominay midfield, Cavani hopefully back. We always win when Ole has his job on the line.

Since Fergie we’ve only turned up against these cnuts when our pride has been at stake or when we've been too far behind them in the table. Both league wins last season (too far behind in the table), Carabao second leg (restore pride after the first leg), delaying their humiliating title celebrations in 2018, league cup 3rd round 16/17 (restore pride after being schooled in the league right before).

Here's an opportunity to move 4 points clear of them, get a fifth straight win and gather serious momentum going into the festive season. That's exactly why we won't win.

Right, what we need is to stop chopping and changing formations, stick with 4-2-3-1 for the rest of this season and tweak the players to change the way we play depending on the opposition, instead of changing our formation to suit who we are playing, we just aren't good enough for that.

    I'd go with;

    ...................Henderson
    AWB....Lindelof.......Maguire......Shaw
    .............Fred..........McTom
    Rash............Bruno............Martial
    ....................Cavani

That's if Martial & Cavani are fit which I hope they are!

Greenwood isn't quite the same this year which is to be expected, I'd use him, VdB, Pogba & Mata as impact subs for now and let them start in the cups.

If we somehow win this game, which with our defending would be unbelievable, we should finally just go all out for as much of a title push as we can, playing the same first XI in the league and rotating them out as much as possible for the cups.

Weird game. Win and half the forum is depressed. Lose and the other half is depressed.

So the game will probably end in a draw and keep everyone depressed.

We'll look as disjointed and dysfunctional as ever. I can't see City breaking sweat to win this one.

If we beat them I will never have been more confused watching a United team. Cannot tell if we’re absolute shite or dark horses for the title.

Unlucky to have this right after dumping out of the CL... SAF would have done everything to make sure we win this, he was all about the bounce back. Lets hope Ole picked this up! If we do lose convincingly I worry for Ole.

They're due a league win against us... and we're at home. So I don't really fancy us

One positive stat is this is only the second time we've played a team below us in the league this season, and we won the first game.

Will be 0-2 down at 43 mins when other 10 players not called Bruno suddenly realise they are actually out on a football pitch. 0-3 down at 79 mins, Magic Ole Sub time, and bring on 2 more defenders.
    Meh.

    Sad but true

I can't say I feel very optimistic about this one. We're really stuttering and City look like they're finding their form again. I predict a defeat I'm afraid to say.

Epitome of a 'Top red'

I can't find where I wrote I will be following another team. But the likes of you have some special ability to pull things out of thin air. I am taking a break as I don't find supporting this bunch good for my state of mind. Top reds like you can and should go on if it doesn't affect you in any sort.

My only hope is that Pep tends to err on the side of caution in some games and try to take a defensive approach, which ends up affecting the attacking balance of the team and prevents them from scoring big.

Win this at least. This is the only meaningful competition we are in now. Might as well give it our best shot every game.

We just need to not start horrendously like we do in almost every game. The only game we’ve started well this season is Istanbul and that was a horrific second half. We’re incapable of a good 90 minutes never mind a good 6-7 games. Never known a more inconsistent United team but at least I think every game we can win even if I also think we could lose.
