This last frame a perfect example of how when Ronnie wants to do it he is an unbelievable safety player as well

Sky 115?

Anyway, just wanted to say how strange it feels having a live audience for sport again. It actually confused me for a minute when I saw the people in the seats - I read them as photo boards.
Half the time I forget to change it. Can't understand why it's not 101.

Agree on the live audience. Real crowd reaction is so different to the generic crowd noise piped in on the football.

Local programming on 101 and national on HD with London news I think. If you’re in the London area that won’t be obvious.

BBC are just arseholes tbh, they just like being awkward, don't even understand why we have SD channels anymore anyway.

Had to watch the first session sporadically as I had friends over but sounds like it went as expected.

Really also hope Wilson can at least keep it interesting, but can't see anything but a cue action win.

Not a good start to the second session for Wilson, he let that frame get away and really couldn't afford to. I'd thought this would be close but Wilson is suffering out there. Could become painful quickly.

One post above
Hear me out, this is going to sound wild, but why not switch their channels? Or just make local programming HD? Always seems backwards to me.

Personally I'm pretty good with going straight to their HD channel but everyone else I know hits 101 first and it's feckin terrible to watch any sport on.

I want Ronnie to win but after both semifinals yesterday this is very boring and predictable in comparison.

HD is premium bandwidth. I’m not going to claim to know the details but there’s like 40/50 odd regions, I can’t imagine they can afford to broadcast every one in HD.

Early signs that the level of play in this session won't be any better than the first and Ronnie sort of seems to win frames by default. Both making mistakes but Wilson's are generally worse and Ronnie can always fall back on his scoring ability.

All Wilson can do is recover some composure and put a few frames on the board but this is poor snooker with a runaway winner and therefore incredibly boring to watch.

Don't the beeb still have that screensaver thing that says 'this programme isnt' available in HD in your area'? I've not had terrestrial access to it since 2005, but pretty sure I saw that at my dad's before shit hit fan with Covid last year or so.

That's backward as feck.

Paying a TV license should mean you get your local bullshit in the best version available tbh. That's another argument though.

Wilson won't come back from this. He's broken already.

Much better, that's the first real meaningful break from him in this final. Let's see what that does to his confidence.

Ronnie is looking vulnerable and Wilson has improved a lot. This is his chance to claw back a couple more.

Edit: scratch looking vulnerable, he's looking hopeless even. I won't be surprised if Wilson wins all remaining frames in the session.

The snooker has been dreadful, lets be honest. Still providing excellent drama but so many poor shots and poor positioning.

I don't think Ronnie has a cue action, maybe if he could find a cue action from somewhere he might have a chance here, he looks lost. If he gets a cue action he will start enjoying himself and play better because without a cue action what's the point? Basically he needs to find a cue action quickly.

I love how fast Ronnie is when the balls are in place , irrespective of match situation he doesn't overthink anything
