has it been Friday 13th for 10 years?

I can understand in a way people rightly or wrongly disliking Corbyn, but for people fully under the heel of a regime fully geared towards their continued annihilation and oppression, that's policies have killed thousands of people and will continue to do so in an ideological class war that they are winning and have been winning for decades to actively vote for them? that i cant understand.I deleted it from there as I assumed a mod would have done so at some point anyway.
It's a shame posts like the awful constant troll-like ones are allowed and nothing done about them, and yet yours (which was maybe a bit extreme in places maybe, although not in my opinion) are deleted within a couple of minutes.
Tory logicLabour were going to give free bus travel to under 25s. The buses are already a nightmare and that would have made it even worse.
5 years of Tories thoughI feel like when Moyes lost 2-0 to Everton and Moyes’ sack was inevitable. It was miserable but there was hope of a new beginning.
Can’t wait for the Van Gaal era.
To be fair, I don't think this victory for the Tories is about Boris being a great leader - I think it's about Corbyn being totally out of touch.
Baddiel absolutely nailed it on c4 there. Momentum and corbynistas turned labour from an electoral force into a protest farce.
Tom watson also looking smug

That’s actually a fair explanation. I was going with hyperbolic viciousness for comedic purposes, but I should probably keep my shit to myself as I react far worse to pretty mild crap.
The politically disenfranchised, the casual voter, New Labour voters who have had their heads turned by Tory rhetoric. Political apathy is rife in this country. We're a very small proportion of voters in comparison to the rest of the UK; we're educated on politics, we read about it everyday (my statement goes for anyone regardless of where they lie on the spectrum). Everyone else just sees the headlines and do other things in their spare time.Which 'others' are you talking about?
The centre is dead. This idea that if the Labour party stayed/moved back to the centre they would see electoral success is a canard. It doesn't matter how hard you wish it will happen, there is no return to pre-15 politics. Brexit, Trump and global Trumpism is the new normal and we need to adapt to that.
What the first few results seem to show is that in a Brexit election, Labour haven't done enough to get their message out to their 'heartland'. A movement like Momentum has done some brilliant things, but it's membership is primarily young working class people from big cities. Vote Leave seem to have been more successful in channeling small town dissatisfaction, and Labour haven't been able to cut through to Brexit voters in the same way.

The richest people didn't win this for the Tories, Danny 20k a year from swindon on a 0 hours contract did. I'm not sure how i can forgive that really.
Dreading to see the homeless people in our communities go from 3 on a corner to 5 then to 10, then back to 4 when they die.
Beggers belief, but hey ho enjoy brexit, feck brown people or something.

He cannot be that toxic if Labour increased their vote share in 2017 in Ashfield.
Conservatives banking on Brexiteer votes have another thing coming. The Brexit Party will get most of them and Labour will win again with vote shares similar to 2015 when the Kippers got fair few votes.
I just tried to place a bet of £150 on Labour at 6/1 but it didn’t allow me more than £20. Since you know your constituency so well do you want to take the other £130 at same odds? Free money...
Done
@Ultimate Grib @sun_tzu fair play to both of you, money where your mouths are.
surely in the spirit of the thread, you should donate the money to the others choice of charity? Or even better, sun_tzu could buy turtle wax for his new Ferrari and ultimate grib could just pay the money over in extra tax
Sure.. @Ultimate Grib when I win feel free to donate to the campaign against antisemitism
https://antisemitism.uk/
When's the ashfield result dueSweet. Depending on the outcome of the GE I’ll get you to donate the £780 to a foodbank charity if Tories win a majority. They’re going to need it...
No probs.
What has Watson got to be smug about? He’d have led Labour to even bigger disaster as he’s a straight up remainer.
Labour Lost because they weren’t a Brexit party. To win an election based largely on Brexit When people see you as a semi-remain party is extremely difficult when 270 of 381 constituencies voted leave. People just think of it as 48%vs 52%... but when you look at the actual number of leave constituencies, it’s a mountain to climb.
This, it had nothing to do with labour being too left, corbyn was a factor, mainly from the media assault however. no labour leader other than blair was able to weather it as the torys couldnt present an option at the time so he had murdochs backing. What has Watson got to be smug about? Not disagreeing, but that sentiment should have be done once the election was announcedRinder making a good point now.
People need to step outside of their echo chambers and listen to others.
WeeeeeeyTony Blair's seat going Con....not much change there though!
5 years of Tories though
I don't vote. Do you really think Tories get the bus?Tory logic
Jesus fecking christ, how many times?! Labour is a 65%+ Remain supporting party. How the feck would them supporting leave have handed them a win? Even in many of those labour leave constituencies a majority of Labour voters were remain.
Ah shit we drink the same thing, now we're technically married under Caf Law. But it also means I get half your stuff in the inevitable divorce, so that's good.perhaps everyone should get a pass tomorrow morning from the mod police?
In future, let’s have the polls close at midday, so that we are not viewing the results though a maze of corona (or drink of choice).
The mask slips there. This, it had nothing to do with labour being too left, corbyn was a factor, mainly from the media assault however. no labour leader other than blair was able to weather it as the torys couldnt present an option at the time so he had murdochs backing.
Labour could never win this election, doesn't matter if they were centre or left, or centre right, it was a brexit election and the vote was completely split in labour heartlands there was nothing to be done in hindsight.
Also, ca the lib dems and the greens feck off already? we dont have a proportional representation and all they do by standing in seats is put the torys in power, its a farce.
I don't vote. Do you really think Tories get the bus?
I get the bus, the buses are shit, when they do turn up they are always jam packed. I don't want them to be even worse. That's the logic.
Do you get the bus?
Not disagreeing, but that sentiment should have be done once the election was announced
This was true up North in Blyth even. There’s the Brexit party factor too, but still.London? Worry about England's North.
That's what makes me feel bad.Yeah it’s not good. Personally speaking I don’t really have much to worry about, I’m on course to get a very strong first in my computer science degree and have two verbal job offers for when I finish, getting private health care as part of my contract shouldn’t be an issue either. I just can’t disconnect like Tory voters seem to be able to do. It’s just utterly shit and depressing that the wealth gap is going to grow and public services are going to be stripped back further and further.
how so?The mask slips there.
