Final Update:

Just got home after dropping off my friend. Hilarious that at 12:30pm I couldn't be bothered looking out of my window to let a forum member know whether it was snowing in Manchester... 20 minutes later I was showered and in a race against the clock to beat Alexis to Carrington.

What's really funny is that I drive q. a nice car which could easily be confused for one owned by United... and as we drove down the road to the entrance, all the paparazzi turned to us with their cameras but were devastated to see my friend wasn't Alexis. We've agreed that next time there's a big money signing, we're driving down there again but my friend will wear a pillowcase on his head.

I sent q. a few photos across to Rozay throughout the day and ended up speaking to a number of paparazzi; some from Sky Sports, MEN and elsewhere. That Sky Sports van (don't know if @Rozay uploaded the photo) is amazing inside, looks like mission control with a tonne of screens and switches.

After our Nandos we drove back and the same group of fans were stood by the entrance in the shot of the Sky Sports camera but we decided to call it a day.

Happy to do my bit for all the transfer muppets out there today. We've had our ups (Mata, Pogba) and our downs (Thiago, Griezmann) but we persist.

PS. SORRY @manc_lass13 - I had no idea you were also there until I arrived home! (I've not actually been following the thread, just posting occasional updates). I was driving the white Mercedes C-Class and wearing a brown coat.

Good work mate :)

Too bad you didn't meet @manc_lass13 for a fellow muppet selfie

I must confess that I enjoy transfer muppetry on the Cafe more than the actual transfer. Now that this is over I’m beginning to get worried whether our new acquisition will follow a similar pattern to that of Saha, Hargreaves and Berbatov; who attracted a lot of press hype but didn’t live up to the hype. I hope to god that Sánchez is our new Cantona or RVP

@manc_lass13 has been promoted due to her dedication to muppetry. Congrats!
Haha yeah I’m a big muppet! Been stuck in this thread for days so just had to go down there today! Sadly I’ve had to get back to my daughter she’s only 2 and it’s nearly her bed time. Sorry fellow muppets! In summer I’ll camp there for any big sagas

Great stuff! Always great to hear these players’ success stories coming from a tough place. His journey hasn’t ended. It’s just on to the next phase. I see Manchester United as possibly just a stepping stone to his next successful phase of his career. People come and go sometimes in your life journey. Some stick around but some show up in different times in your life and while at that time might seem negative but in the long run, it could have been the best thing that could have happened.

"the underlying intentions or motives of a particular person" trying to make people look dumb for getting a transfer wrong that no one thought would happen is seemingly your agenda. It is bizarre.
I think you, like some others, have missed the point a bit. It's not the getting the transfer wrong that's the issue, it's the persistent nonsense spouted which is negative about the club that was being flagged.

Never be interested in United, City are better club, why isn't Mourinho in for him moan moan. Don't see the issue in showing these sad acts the error of their ways!

Thanks for the updates today, greatly appreciated.

How about you becoming our carrington based reporter/photographer for all significant signings...better than sky sports MEN if you ask me?

Saw you then! Near some little lad with a football. Well done on the promotion.
Yeah I was alone though. Wasn’t with anybody we just sort of huddled together. There weren’t many there to be honest. A lot of mums with their kids. Wish I’d of taken mine. Would have been able to stay longer.

I don't think you'll miss much now other than getting cold and wet. I'm working tonight so if anything major happens I'll pop over to Carrington and stand in for you!

No. It was bloody freezing. Summer I think there will be a muppet meet up at Carrington. Would love to go back and wait but it could be hours. Sky sports didn’t have a clue when or if he’d even appear but when do they ever know anything?! Haha
