I do wonder as a player Sanchez is already a millionaire. His family will has enough money for generations.

So what is the difference between £250k to £350k a week? There is only so much crap you can buy.

I always thought about that too. Especially when you're getting into crazier money every few seasons (Ronaldo, Messi).

Must just be a dick measuring contest.

That type of money will sustain his family; and his family's children; and his family's children's children.

He had a very tough background, so he probably wants his family to live a good life.

They spend money differently to we do though. We can't really comprehend how athletes who wipe their arses with gold lives, can we?

Anyone care to fill me in on what the latest is on Sanchez? I just can’t read 75+ pages haha

Loads of sources said

Morning: City and Pep meet today to discuss further Sanchez actions.
This evening: City have pulled out.
Tonight: Chelsea have entered the race (no reliable sources).

Anyone heard anything from Real Madrid on this? I’m really surprised they aren’t in the mix for him unless they can’t compete with the money been thrown about.

Thats 100,000 a week and 5.2 million over a year. It aint a small amount.

£18.5m a year or £13m a year (before tax)? It's obviously worth going for more, especially as he is probably going to professionally retire for life in like 7 years.

I reckon he has Amazon dash buttons planted all over his mansion for everything he likes from Dorito's to Daim bars. He has so much money he presses them all day long and his butler just waits for the delivery and restocks the mansion.

Another world-class player in the squad, an upgrade over either of Sane or Sterling in the starting XI. Hardly ‘weakening’ a side.
As I said, would have to play him due to the wages. Definitely not an upgrade on either of those the way they've been playing either.
Opinions are arseholes.

Well I guess it’s a case ‘well he’s on that so I want this’ scenario. Frankly it should have been capped a long time ago along with ticket prices. And agents fees for that matter.

The problem is everyone involved with this gravy train are making too much money and that’s why they won’t do anything about it.

The more I look at the deal the more I think is this really the right thing to do? Just because it’s set a precedence for future deals. Do you think Pogba and De Gea will be happy earning £100k less than Sánchez per week? Our wage budget is already the highest in the world and we are nowhere near close to being the best around.

Sanchez is clearly a fantastic player, just a shame we are likely to only get 3 good years out of him.

The longer this drags on, the more worried I get.

Before you know it, PSG will be in the mix and they'll offer him 650K per week just because they can.

holy feck had to go back to page 223. It was only half 4 this afternoon.
Am hearing deal is all agreed except for arsenal. They want Martial, told no, keep coming back, keep being told no, trying to sign Malcom, nothing clear on that yet and a Mkhi swap is third choice but he has not reached terms. Not hearing he doesn't want to go. Like some are saying. But it seems arsenal not giving up on trying for Martial still. But United don't see that as an option.

So, in short, the delay is arsenal. But nothing to suggest the deal won't be done.

City are out, Chelsea are in but it seems thats a load of crap and can they offer a replacement? The batman? They have Giroud to miss chances for them they dont need batman. They are actively hunting a replacement.

Perez will never sign a Barca reject.
Not desperate enough yet(though it's less him being a barca reject and more trusting Zidane to find the way to turn things around with "his guys". Though judging by the news about Kepa, Flo's patience is fraying)

My feeling is you better wrap this up quickly though :D

This looks like the current situation given everything we've seen tonight, and this guy is connected to Di Marzio. He's not a random.

So we just need to wait until we have finished bending Arsenal over and then we are done.

This along with Ballbag's tears makes me feel that we're near the finish line. Welcome Alexis

Wonder if it's partly gamesmanship to show they're competing for players with United/City, perhaps a last minute attempt to force the price up a little bit and unsettle the situation. As you say surely should've been in at around the same time we were if they really wanted him.

Worries me a bit. They've been known to let other clubs do all the work before... they even let Spurs do Willian's medical for them!:nervous:
