Probably will get sorted out. He recently declared his commitment to Madrid.

Him and Ramos have thrown their toys out before but then Ronaldo could see Madrid not protecting him after all he's done.

He also signed a 5 year contract 7 months ago which could make it tricky to agree a fee.

Make it 95m. He is the highest paid sportsperson in the world according to a report this month.
I stand corrected then. Just shows that his Madrid contract is not his main income so why would he do this over a couple million rise in salary? Doesn't make sense.

Even if Jesus came down and told me he was leaving, I wouldn't believe it.

I'm a Christian.

This has got to have some semblance of truth now if BBC are reporting it.
Oh it is true, he has said he wants to leave, but the problem we don't know is how sincere he is being? We all think it is an angle.

While Ronaldo is clearly still a top player, it's impossible to say how long he'll retain that status. He's picked up a few injuries this season and his body must start to break down eventually.

People are citing Ibrahimovic as an example of what can be achieved at 35, but it's hard to think of any other forward who's still thriving in one of the top leagues at that age. Plus it's worth nothing that Ibra didn't win us the league and a lot of fans would argue that his lack of mobility hindered us at times last season.
Well, why should we think of any other forward? There clearly aren't anyone as physically gifted and obsessively concentrated on maintaining and improving his game as Cristiano in the game now. He lost some weight (muscle mass) this season - because he has the best advisers on how to retain his form and fitness. etc.

And Ibra was 3 years older and he always was an inferior player to Ronaldo, despite however great he was.

I'm trying not to be too hopeful about this transfer, but to see people questioning his potential ability/influence in case he joins? Seriously?

If he is going to leave, I wonder if that'll scupper the Morata deal as RM may now wish to hold onto him.

Cant' really take serious but I have wondered over the years about Messi and Ronaldo - where are the challenges? Where is the fun? You can only keep on proving yourself over and over. Maybe he's decided that while he might win many peoples respect - they are not people he respects. It's one thing desiring to be the best but it's another to think that it don't amount to much and that it's people that matter. Relationships. Madrid may have the sun but I think there is more warmth....In England. Perhaps he's finally grown up and realised a few home truths. Of course all speculation but he's been moaning about something ever since he got there. He had his tantrums at United but not so much really. Come home Ronny. Rooney needs you.

One thing I should add - he's mentioned he's not happy with the support in general before. People are taking this story and treating it in and of itself but if you are Ronaldo all these things tally up - and maybe he's had enough. He DOES have a kid now and his kid might have to deal with crap so Ronaldo can't think just of himself anymore. He has to think as a parent and while it might come to nothing - who knows? Maybe that is why the number 7 is still free. We don't know.

Probably been asked before, but will him leaving Spain have any effect on his tax evasion case?

His performances could drop quickly it's happened to other great players in there 30s or he could turn out like giggs and play for us until late 30s. Either way doesn't matter because he won't leave Madrid

The only disappointing thing about this is that there's no way Madrid will let both Ronaldo and Morata go this summer. We need to make sure we sign which ever one they're letting go.

Can't see why. Isco will play off the left and Bale will play CAM, or Ascensio.

BBC doesn't get involved unless it's solid news. Here's hoping we don't get sucked in into this.

Maybe that is the reason Griezmann did not happen? Maybe Jorge Mendes sounded out to Woodward that Ronnie was looking to leave? They do have close working relationship iicr.

It's too good to be true.

We're crying out for a goalscorer, return to United, No.7 etc. Imagine the shirt sales and marketing of him. Money debates aside the buzz and anticipation to the new season would be immense. The only obstacle I suppose is Mourinho. I hope that if there's any serious truth, that his relationship with Jose doesn't hinder anything. I know he wouldn't go to another PL team, but he could go to PSG instead.

Problem is, Ronaldo is well within his rights to play the Madrid fans in the way that he is because they are always whistling him and booing him. It's extremely difficult to tell whether he's being genuine or not. I think he is trying to shift the blame for his tax issues on Madrid and trying to provoke a reaction from them. That's all unfortunately. I really don't want to get my hopes up, but in some ways I just can't help it.

What's the reason for not wanting him back? Would you be interested if Messi was available? PSG will go all out to get him but Madrid aren't going to let him and Morata go at the same time. We need to sign whichever one they're willing to sell.

I honestly think we will the treble if he joins. UEFA Super Cup. EFL Cup and a Europa League.
