He clearly showed his age in this match, looked jaded around the 60 minute mark.

He will be immense once his game matures.
I watched virtually every Benfica game since January because of him.
Gutted we missed out.

Wasn't Anderson more of an athlete before the injury though? or?
When he was younger at Porto he was, at 18 yes. At United his athleticism went downhill. It wasn't just injuries, he was unprofessional and had dieting issues.

It was crazy that Fergie let him hang around for so long really. I think he really liked Anderson as a person, as did most at the club it seemed.

Given the choices I'd have Sanches over Pogba. Obviously we don't have that choice but I think he'll turn out to be the more influential player (and I know it's not the greatest comparison).

Quality player, but then again we can't land them all. Suppose we'll have to settle for Paul Pogba instead. :(

I actually don't see what the fuss is about, he's a tidy player and makes a few runs but that's about it?

Don't think he'll end up being a top player at all

I really don't see what the fuss is all about either, to be honest. Physically he is well ahead of his age and he has some nice runs with the ball at his feet, but his decision making and passing doesnt look anything special at all.

Ok. He's 18. His passing/decision making isn't out of place, lad can tackle, incredibly strong, fast, keeps the ball well, powerful shot. If you don't see it in him you're mad.

I can't remember why I joined this war.

I'm pretty much in the same boat. He is fast and runs around a lot but without much brain or good decision making he ends up wasting a lot of his energy on useless stuff. That's about it as far as the games go I have seen him so far, which admittedly isn't much but he ain't got what it takes to make me excited about a player.

One has played for 6 months and one for 4 years winning titles and played in a UCL final being a leading player for his team. Cmon you can't seriously want Sanches over Pogba (forget money)

It's the age obsession of this forum. Because he's 18 and all.. I feel like this whole age obsessions has come in the generation that saw Messi, Rooney, Ronaldo and Fabregas. Warped people's views.

Yeah he's a premier league fan's sort of player. The end of the game he could have done nothing hugely of note but because he ran around everywhere, people will laud his 'imperious/battling' performance

Dipping tea in toast
What a season this kid has had, made his first team debut for his club, become integral to them winning the league, makes it to the champions league quarters, gets bought by bayern for 36m with massive add on's, gets called up for his country for the friendlies and then gets picked for the euros works his way into the first team, starts the final and they win and is also the best young player in the tournament, talk about living the dream.

Looks better than Pogba on this tournaments showing
As a Bayern fan, obviously I'm ready and willing to hype the kid as much as the next guy, but in all honesty he was great against Poland and in the sub appearances before, but terrible against Wales and rather poor tonight, too.

Pogba has been delivering top performances in league and CL for years now.

So this is a pretty wrongheaded post.

He's been better than Pogba this tournament. That was all my post was saying.

I didn't think he was particularly impressive.

He didn't have a good Euro in my opinion because I've seen him performing far better so I expected more but one can easily see he offers something different from others.

His passing is erratic at times, his decision making is also poor but here we're talking about an 18 year kid in his breakthrough season with only 6/7 months of professional football under his belt, not a Messi in his prime!

He is 18 in a team he is new to - the second part should be highlighted to as some of his passes that got astray I had the feeling that he just had another idea what should happen than the ball receiver.

Some emphasise technic etc. so much - but when I look into the young ones who did it and made a big career the main ingredient was really the engine, the character and mentality. Coman, so some of his words seemed to be full of himself when he came (but I guess you have to have that if you want to compete in a dressing room with a lot star players) recognised that he has to work hard and does it. If Sanches does not think that he has already made it and that it just started he will have a big career.
