I'm no fan of Jamie Vardy but that's just delusional arrogant nonsense.
He's just won the trophy your lot have been failing to get your hands on for 12 years.
I assumed from your posts that you were a gooner. You lot ?
I am no arsenal fan. I am a united fan.
Couldnt give a toss if they signed him or not. But from a neutral perspective It is a decision I cant understand. Jamie Vardy rejects Arsenal...
Unbelievable how shortminded football has become. 2 seasons ago he was fighting relegation, now he rejects Arsenal.
You seem to forget he is playing for the Champions of England.
And that ain't us or any of the other big teams.
I assumed from your posts that you were a gooner.
Either way it's nonsense, I can't stand the guy but I give him credit for showing loyalty to the club where he's made a name for himself.
The idea that players have some kind of almost obligation to jump when bigger clubs come calling is ridiculous.
He was part of the greatest sporting achievement of the century with that team and will be considered a hero in the city for the rest of his life. He's part of something far more special than Arsenal have been for the last decade. I understand his decision.Oh wow
2 seasons ago he was fighting off relegation and how good did it fair with last years champions Chelsea ? If you cant see how quickly these things turn and twist...
Arsenal at the very least is a stable top club. As good a move as he could have hoped for at age 29.
Well see how things turn out but I think this is something hell end up regretting.
Right Ozil has a CL winners medal, a world cup winners medal, la liga medal
Same goes for Sanchez who has CL medals, copa america medal, la liga medals
What is your point ?
When did Ozil win the CL?
Vardy isn't world class, and if anything- this increases their chances. That's quite a statement. I'm absolutely delighted he snubbed them They've been desperate for a world class striker for years now and they won't get one this window either. Long may it continue.

Thats what they got agents for.So it is possible to get deals done while players are at the Euros.

He was world class last season. Not many strikers out there that are available that can score 20+ goals if any. How is having less targets a good thing?Vardy isn't world class, and if anything- this increases their chances.

I would like to take this moment to point out that neither Ozil nor Sanchez have Champions League medals and both have the same number of league medals as Vardy : one. As for the Copa America and the World Cup, they won them with their national teams and they have no bearing on their success at Arsenal nor would Vardy joining Arsenal make England favourites for any future tournaments. Leicester and Vardy achieved something incredible last season, he's probably getting a contract financially very similar to what he would've gotten at Arsenal and if Leicester can keep the band together there is no reason they can't add to their medal hauls.
Excellent news. Hopefully Mahrez and Kante follow his footsteps and give the CL a proper go with Leicester.
Just had a peek over at Arsenal Mania, seems like they were dead cert he was going to sign and were really excited about it. Personally I think he adds something different than their current options, would have been a very useful addition.
What do you want?! It's been a long time since Arsenal had a striker do remotely what Vardy did last season. 29 year old late-comer with only one top class season is a far better option than currently on the Arsenal books....Ideally wanted someone better...
This is either trolling or the single worst post I've seen on the 'Caf. I would struggle to fathom as much garbage as you managed to cram in that bid of drivel. As I said, it shows that he isnt ambitious and scarred of taking his chance at the top level.
He prefers to be a big fish in a small pool rather than try his chance as a small fish in a big pool.
He chose the easy, safe option that shows he has zero ambition as player. Which might also explain why he is only surfacing on age 29 at the highest level.
Could you see him bringing pace and intent to them like Sanchez has? Sanchez has a more versatile skill set and more pedigree, but I could see both of them on the pitch wrecking havoc. It'd give them something they've only had in spurts out of Walcott and Oxlade-Chamberlain. Both Vardy and Sanchez can interchange well and provide a goal threat with plenty of work rate....He would have struggled at Arsenal, mainly because their style doesn't match his...
There is truth to this. He's best exploiting vast space with his speed and intent, but I think know that comment underestimates his abilities. He's been surprisingly canny and still has a notable influence on matches outside of running in behind. His ability to harass defenses playing the ball out of the back would be really useful to a side like Arsenal with so many technicians than can make good use of a ball won high....If he is unable to get in behind the opposition, he becomes very limited and struggles to affect the game.
Agreed. I'm not sure he's altogether dissimilar to Sanchez, but I get your point.Personally I think he adds something different than their current options, would have been a very useful addition.

Seems you are right Sanchez didnt won CL at Barca either. I made some wrong assumptions.
I'd disagree that Vardy had a world class season because a good handful of strikers had better seasons. He was world class last season. Not many strikers out there that are available that can score 20+ goals if any. How is having less targets a good thing?
Yes i do!You think Arsenal have a better chance than Leicester to win things in the next few years? I dont.
Strange but respectable move from Vardy. Regardless of the fact he'd win feck all at Arsenal, usually a player of his age would want one final big wage.
