There's a keeper eligible too from Scotland I think
Oh yeah.

There are a couple of others too who could've potentially fecked up the plan (getting an open pool for R2, that is) - but I'm not sure if they actually got any minutes.

Thank you. His scoring record is close to all time best AM though. Read somewhere that he could be a CF also, other than SS or AM, which make more sense with that kind of goal ratio.
He started out as a centre forward, but post-war he played mostly at inside forward. His goal tally might be inflated a bit by the German league system at the time. There was no national league until 1963, but regional leagues with play-offs for the championship, so he played some weaker teams than comparable players. Then again, I don't suppose there's much difference to the Brazilian state championships where Pele scored his goals. The biggest reason for his goal tally is the fact that he was simply a great player.

 Maybe I'm that predictable, will continue to do so, hopefully no one blocks me so they get blocked themselves. :D
You weren't predictable. You can tell by the comments how many missed our picks, otherwise they were bound to be picked. I just knew by your passing reaction that you got Zidane.

I'm just delighted to get someone who's undisputedly a top 10 GOAT and some may even argue top 5 in this cluster round.

I'm very happy also that I didn't go for him. I went for Laudrup for several reasons. Thought he was less likely to be picked because people might not notice. He's a MC which is an easy pick to make at this point (not sure yet how I'll play). He's one of my all time favorite players.

Zidane was the best pick but I know Laudrup is a very easy sell and also highly rated. Lot of great players this round. Nice to escape the sheep.

Just looking through the list and am amazed that two players in particular didn't get picked...wish we'd been brave and gone for those countries now..

I knew you were picking Cannavaro. Didn't expect a clash with Tuppet at all!
Me too, I'd have thought he'd go for the right back, the central midfielder or one of the 2 GK's as he already has one sheep and would go safe. I thought you can go safe with the GK as well or Bergomi. And Burgnich was a spot on for me that you will go for him if Bergomi didn't work out :D I didn't expect at all you to clash with Tuppet on him. Very interesting round. From at least 15 players worth going for a lot of clashes.

SHEEP ALLOCATION:

Tuppet - you were desperate to get a defender beginning with B. Baresi, Bergomi and Burgnich were all brave efforts, but instead you will be allocated Laszlo Balint - a Hungarian defender whose elegant style of play earned the title 'The Baron'. Not that he looks hugely impressed at hearing the news of his new club.

Edgar and Ctp - you too were gagging for that defensive steel. Well you get the great Moore - not Bobby Moore, but Craig Moore was a lynchpin for the Socceroos with a steady European career.

Invictus/KM - you clearly need someone to get on the end of Bene's crosses, and who better than Aussie heading king Tim Cahill?

Tim Cahill is surely to good to be a sheep ffs, he is a good player. Obviously far from good enough to be in this draft but he is way better then the other sheeps...

You might have a point... Sheep Committee pitch in to defend your position please.

To be fair you are blocking a very good attacking position for him with Cahill.

@Gio when will the new criteria kick in evening or now ?
